I've raved about Ciao Mambo in the past. We visited again after a long absence. Still wonderful. Still great service. Interestingly, upon entering, our waitress recognized us and welcomed us back. Amazing on two counts--firstly, she remembered us after (probably) six months; secondly, they keep their staff--not all restaurants do.
This is the best Italian food in town, served in a casual grill atmosphere. The menu is pretty much the standard fare, pasta and pizza. It's made fresh and is very consistant--we've never had a poor meal. Prices tend to the $12 to $18 range. Salads are mixed greens, not iceburg--yes, this is important to us. Desserts are the usual, with the addition of a flourless chocolate cake--great for the gluten-free amongst us. (This was one of the best flourless chocolate cakes we've enjoyed--very much worth the money. Served with huckleberry sauce--a perfect complement.) Also--they've begun stocking gluten-free pasta, though they have yet to realize what the demand is--they were out this visit. So--feel free to carry your own pasta & they'll be happy to prepare it with your meal.
Two salads, two pasta entrees, bottle of wine and a shared chocolate cake= $67. Worth every cent.
