I absolutely love the Raven. Situated in Woods Bay it is a short 12 minute drive from BigFork to get here. The Raven is a cute bar/restaurant that has an outdoor patio over the lake with beautiful sunset views. The drinks are good with a good beer selection and spirits from whistling Andy's distillery (located across from the Timber's motel in Big Fork) Service is excellent, views are fantastic & always a friendly crowd.
The last time I ate here in 2012 I wasn't very impressed but since then the menu has changed and I have to say it has improved quite a lot ! we were all very happy!
Next to the Raven is another bar, the sitting duck which has a nice patio as well & then across the road you have the Flathead brewing co (which closes at 8pm fyi) they have fabulous IPAs among other great brews. If you are looking for a place to stay nearby check out the islander hotel which is right beside the brew co, located online & airbnb (the raven)
flathead lake is beautiful, make sure to visit the Raven during summer months & all that the area has to offer.

We have been regulars at the Raven for years when we come to Montana for vacation. This year was a bit different. We didn't have dinner but went for the entertainment and the relaxation. We happened to be there when the Dodgy Mountain Men were playing. The group had a unique sound that was a cross between smoky mountain music and a blues-fusion. We had a great time listening and dancing and of course tipping back a few beers. The Raven has live music regularly so there are plenty of opportunities to catch some yet this summer. Check it out!

We had been hearing praises of The Raven during our road trip from as far away as Kootenai Falls, so we were looking forward to eating there. We asked a few people if it was family friendly since we have a 4 year old, everyone said it was. When we arrived we found a bar, with a patio out back on the lake. Yes, families were there, and they had a kids menu, but we would not go back with kids. It was early, but they were out of several items (including the appetizer we were going to there to try), and the food we did get was mediocre. It is basically a place to pull in your boat, use the bathroom (which was disgusting), and drink. Not our cup of tea.

Today was our third or fourth outing over the last several summers to the Raven Grill in Woods Bay, Montana, just South of Bigfork. Offering what is by far one of the best views of Flathead Lake from any restaurant, the Raven provides casual and fun dining and drinks, and the food (burgers/sandwich-fare) have always exceeded expectations. But today for our group of five, order to food arrival took 1 hour and 20 minutes. When asked about the delay, the waitress refused to make eye contact or apologize, simply saying that there was only one cook in the kitchen and the food would be ready when she could get to it. For a restaurant that easily seats 75 in and out, the owners need to do better in the kitchen. Hope we hear they've stepped up their game - otherwise we'll stick with Mountain Lake Lodge or head over to Lakeside next summer.

We have been here just a few times for drinks and snacks while boating, but today we popped in for lunch. I only wish we had eaten here sooner. I had the steak salad which was SO delicious. I had no idea that their food was so good. My husband and friend both had burgers, and they both thought that the meat was wonderfully fresh. Their french fries were terrific as well. It was Margarita Monday, so I had one and there was definitely no skimping on the tequila! Yowsa! And, last but not least, the wait staff was very good to us. We had a wonderful afternoon there, thank you.
