Islander Inn
Ranked #2 of 8 Bigfork B&B and Inns

Coming from Colorado, I was awed by Flat Head Lake and then this wonderful Inn. Had two nights in the Jamaican Room which was lovely with blue and white walls, clean, comfortable bed, ceiling beams, wicker and island pictures. I enjoyed the wonderful view of the lake, pine trees and sunsets. Its only 5 miles from Bigfork for shopping and restaurants. I preferred to eat at the Raven across from the Islander to enjoy the lake. No problem booking on line and check in was easy, very friendly staff. No frills, breakfast or pool, but if you enjoy peace and quite with a view, this is the place.

Room Tip: Any of the Island rooms would be fine.

My husband and I stayed at the Islander last weekend. We were in Anguilla B and the room was very charming.. The bright blue walls and white ceiling beams did feel decidedly Island-y. The bed was comfortable and there were enough pillows. The included kitchenette was well furnished and would have come in handy if we'd stayed more than one night. The shower was very nice with great pressure and i appreciated the included body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispenser. The towels were ample. It was very quiet. The location is very convenient to the bar/restaurant across the street and the brewery next door. There are lots of flowers on the property and some outside seating around a fire pit. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Anguilla B was a nice room with a double bed

Very comfortable beds in both Anguilla A and B. Also they have best view of lake and sunrise from these rooms. Room decor is clean and simple, not fussy. In May I dropped in, with only 2 nights stay reserved, to visit family, excellent room rates at this time. A little less touristy than Bigfork but close to events there if you wish to attend. Flathead Lake is still gorgeous. Manager able to add 2 nights to extend stay, and staff respectful of my time to myself. Food at the Raven was good value also, Korean pork sandwich, yum! I utilized fridge etc. for breakfast to conserve money. I also appreciated the ice machine provided for guests! I would definitely return here for vacation spot.
I would recommend adding a handle bar to get in and out of tub/shower, to help it be a little more "handicap" accessible.

Room Tip: If you want to have room for family members to visit, or need several rooms reserved, choose Zanziba...

We spent Memorial Day weekend at the Islander Inn in the Jamaica Room. Booking was easy and we got the room we wanted with no fuss. When the reservation was first made, we were charged the wrong amount. I called back and the problem was fixed within five minutes! Two days before our trip, I received an email confirming our reservation and asking if we had any special requests. That was a surprising and very nice, personal touch. The prices for Memorial Day weekend were unbeatable but even summer rates are very much worth it.

Our room was clean and very cute. The window next to the bed looks directly out onto the lake. The bed was comfortable and the shower was roomy with the curved shower curtain bar. The "view" out of the back windows was not worth opening the blinds for and be careful if you do - there is a private yard directly behind the rooms and the people sitting out there can see in. There was a fire pit with several chairs on the lawn in front of the office that people used to hang out around. Although I've read that you can hear the bands playing in the rooms, we weren't bothered at all by it.

The Raven across the street has a great menu with much more creative and upscale food than I was expecting. Sitting out on the patio there gives you an amazing view! The service was definitely lacking - we sat at our table for about ten minutes with servers walking by constantly before someone talked to us.

As we were packing up our car to leave town, I took a peek into the Zanzibar room as it was being cleaned. We'll definitely be choosing that room or the Bali next time we visit. And we will definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed a Flathead Lake get-away after my daughter's UM graduation. The owner called us to check on our arrival as we ran late dropping off relatives at Missoula airport. Our group of four had plenty room in Bali Hai room. The comfortable, bright accommodations and kitchen amenites were appreciated. The manager of the restaurant found extra bedding as we had a relative who came along. The location worked well for touring the lake and Big Fork area.

Nice to stay somewhere that is a bit unique. The room was bright and clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was great for us. We would stay again, mid week value is fantastic!! Weekend rates are quiet high.

My gf and I stayed there in April, we loved it, it is clean, comfortable, and just by the lake. The owners also run a pub across the street, which makes it convenient ;)

The value you get for what you pay is amazing :) make sure you make a visit to bigfork town, it is lovely and had so much character
