“Don't miss out on the Dinner Yurt!”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

The snow-cat up the mountain to dinner was great! We had a blast riding on top of the snow-cat. Dinner was $90 pp but delicious and more than we could eat (family style). BYOB. Kids got to sled and play in the snow between courses-completely FUN!

“Best and Most Memorable Meal in Montana”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

Truly AMAZING experience. That's right, it's an experience, not just a meal. It goes something like this... You ride a snow cat (inside or on top) up a snowy mountain where you embark and enter the yurt. Hot yummy French Onion soup is waiting is at each place setting, you are greeted by live acoustic music and beautiful candlelight to set the mood. Since it's BYOB, the waiter promptly opens wine that was brought and you enjoy the first course. After soup, you are given the opportunity to go outside for a "sled break" or just sit and enjoy the ambiance. Course two is served, Beef Tenderloin cooked to perfection along with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. They do not skimp on quantity or quality. I noticed a couple others opted for salmon or vegetarian pasta but if you're a meat eater for sure order the tenderloin. Some of the best steak I've ever had. Course three is chocolate Toblerone fondue served with pound cake, apples, etc. The flavor was great but the the fondue was a little runny and much thinner consistency than I've had in the past. That's not enough to knock down the five star rating though.
After you're done it's time to take the snow cat back down the mountain. They time it perfectly for those needing to catch the skyline shuttle to the lower villages. By far our best and most memorable meal of our Montana vacation.

“Montana Dinner Yurt will be our yearly adventure!”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

A group of 22 of us, all from Bozeman, just discovered the Montana dinner Yurt and decided to try it out. We had an absolute blast and this is going to be a yearly night of fun, friends, laughter, music, food & drink, sledding...how can we not go wrong? The food is really good and the atmosphere is great. The snowcat ride up the mountain made the night for me...a must do for tourists looking for a fun Montana experience, although us locals had a blast too!

“A Great Experience”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

The food is just average so if you are looking for a great meal then consider someplace else. The experience is FUN! You ride a snow cat up the mountain - be brave and ride on top of the snow cat. Yes, it is cold, but the stars are amazing and how often do you get an opportunity to ride on the top of a snow cat up a mountain! When you arrive there is onion soup to warm you up, and then while the rest of the meal is prepared, there is time for sledding. Sledding in the dark is thrilling. We were with children ages 7 to 16, and all of them repeatedly flew down the hill. There is a bonfire outside and you can bring your own choice of beverage to keep you warm. The yurt is comfortable and cozy with a guitarist providing atmosphere. Also, the staff was great about handling allergy issues. We had notified them ahead of time and they made arrangements to accomodate the child with allergies. A fun and memorable meal!
