This was a good deal for us, as we were able to ski for free with our Colorado ski passes. It is truly slopeside - in fact I even popped back into our room for lunch each day. Very nice, very comfortable (and don't be worried by the murphy bed - it's very comfortable), and had a nice bathroom. I don't know if all rooms overlook the slopes, but we had a wonderful view of lone peak from our room. The only downside is that you do hear the groomers outside.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite at Village Center March 10-17. First of all, I want to commend Denise at the Shoshone desk, and Madeline, the manager, for making our trip better than I could have imagined. Madeline went above and beyond, and customer service gets 5 stars! It was a wonderful week. The staff was very helpful. The room was fabulous. I loved that I could slide open the door and ski directly to the lifts! The view of the Lone Peak was beautiful. I'm already making plans to go next year! I just hope too many people don't find out about this well kept secret.

Walk out the door and you are on the mountain!!
We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite for three days.
The views are lovely, the decor is ranch style with real leather couches, hides, and rustic mountain accents!
There was even a electric fireplace in our suite, as well as a fully equipped kitchenette!
We have also stayed in the smaller units which are great, but recommend the 1 bedroom as they are more spacious.
There is a small fitness center, hot tub, pool, and yoga studio if skiing every day is not for you.

Room Tip: one bedroom suite

We stayed 5 nights at the village centre at big sky and we loved it. The rooms are fairly new and we loved that there was a kitchenette as after a day of skiing sometimes you don't feel like goin out to eat, you just want something simple in your room. The bed folds out from the wall but it is very comfortable. Don't let the bed turn you off as it is really not a problem. The location is great, a three minute walk to the ski fields. Three minutes to the mountain mall and shops and restaurants. Would definately recommend to others and stay again!

The room in Village Center is very well-equipped and decorated, with a small kitchenette. The most stunning part of the room is the beautiful scenery, with the window view of the Lone Peak. However, the Air-Con was too strong and couldn't be adjusted. The windows were stucked and couldn't be opened. The bathroom is spacious. There is an Italian restaurant at the premise, but the food was just so so.

Room Tip: rooms on 3rd floor have balcony

Although my husband and I stayed here to attend a business conference, it certainly felt like a true vacation. The condo was beautifully appointed with stunning views of the peak of Lone Mountain. The location is in the center of the mountain village and the shops, restaurants and ski lifts are just steps away. The staff was very accomodating and extremely friendly. Spectaular setting for business or leisure. We would definitely like to go back.

The Village Center Studio Suites has a sweet location right on the slopes of Big Sky. It is the best ski-in, ski-out location I've stayed in (Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jackson Hole). The only thing closer than the view of Lone Peak is the hot tub and pool. My wife and I thought it hadn't snowed overnight because the heated deck for this area had melted it and was dry. Just remember your room key card to access the enclosed area. They supply towels and plastic cups in the second floor public area, too.

The studio had a very comfortable murphy bed, was extremely well appointed, and had a kitchenette with fridge, sink, coffee pot and microwave. An electric tea kettle would be nice, since there is no stove. The bathroom is very large, with designer feel and large shower. A lighter blanket than the down comfortable would have been nice, since it was warm in the room. The lobby is quite nice, especially for a complex of its size.

A nice italian restaurant (Andiamo) is located nearby in the same complex, and it is an easy (five minute or less) walk to most of the other base area restaurants, shops, ticket booth and bars. The downside to this slopeside location is the need to shlep your luggage through the Huntley Lodge, and along an outdoor pedestrian walkway. The cowboy-hatted bellmen will do this for you. We borrowed a cart and made it work. Less convenient still is the surface parking for guests, which is located downhill on a dirt lot on the other side of the Huntley Lodge. There is a tunnel from the parking lot to the Lodge.
Overall, we would definitely stay in the Village Center Suites again.
