“Primo Powder Ridge Property”

We came in for our spring break and loved this property. The rooms and accommodations were lovely. The personnel who booked us and came to give us a walk-through were very efficient and conscientious. BSVR is our go-to vacation rental company when we travel to this area (which is about 2x a year).

Big Sky did not disappoint, we had snow every day, and the ski-in/out was fine (after we figured out the return the first day).

We'd like to see the fireplace (a bit smoky inside) checked out, and adding hooks outside for towels and robes near hot tub would be a super addition. Also, adding a ski rack in the garage would help, too.

We cooked and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with what we needed for dinner prep. Having an extra den with tv is a benefit many families will find useful. Check in and out was a breeze, as always.

“Beautiful Property”

This is our third on-mountain rental at Big Sky. The cabin is beautiful, newer with modern amenities, nicely decorated and furnished.The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of six to spread out. It is stocked with everything one might need to make a vacation stay comfortable. The televisions and supplied electronic games are an added benefit. We would have enjoyed the addition of some cards or board games for some shared family time. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub after skiing, watching the parade of groomers going off to work down the adjacent trail. Added extras that were appreciated were the toiletries,bedroom humidifiers, basic kitchen and laundry supplies, boot dryer, and spa robes.
Worth noting - there are no views to speak of from this cabin (something we've taken for granted on prior visits). Ski out is very easy, although we preferred just walking up next to the cabin, and skiing down to the lift, rather than walking across the road. As far as ski-in, we found the Rosebud access to be poorly signed and requiring too much poling, especially on a fresh powder day; we preferred the White Otter Bridge access, although road conditions can wreck your ski base, It is rated as a 4 our of 5 for access, we give it closer to a 3 out of 5.
Room for improvement: washcloths need replacing or a good bleaching, we found a number of dirty dishes in the cabinets upon arrival. Communication with the rental agency could use some improvement. Questions were not answered in a timely manner, and they were unable to deliver pre-purchaed lift tickets as requested. I did contact the agency about these concerns and they assured me they would address them.
All in all, these issues did not put a damper on our vacation experience. After all it's Big Sky!

Thank you so much for the kind words about Oglala 15. We are so glad you enjoyed all the nice touches the owner has supplied like brand new TVs, Sonos, and two different gaming systems. As you noted, we too prefer the White Otter Access for ski- in when conditions permit, but for Big Sky the ski-out is amazingly easy. All of Powder Ridge does require using real estate access lifts and trails so we try to be as accurate as possible on our ski in/out descriptions and provide our guests detailed maps and ski in/out videos which we believe is something that no other rental company offers.
We appreciated that Meghan had the opportunity to discuss your feeling that the washcloths looked a bit dingy. We do have all of our properties on an annual linen replacement program, but unfortunately there is no commercial laundry facility in Big Sky so we wash our towels on site. It is difficult to keep them as bright, as all it takes is one face of makeup to start darkening them. As a local company we are able to rectify any issue reported to us by sending a staff member immediately to correct a less than satisfactory condition. I know our general manager reached out to you to correct both housekeeping items. Unfortunately, if additional information is held until the review we have no opportunity to correct it during your vacation experience. For questions or concerns we do have full time staff available 8:30 AM – 10:30 PM each day to answer general questions in addition to our personal on-site guest check in where we provide all guests with phone numbers and contact information so they know the best way to reach us.
As far as the lift tickets, we did do our best to communicate that despite your request to pick up free lift tickets for your child who was under age 5, the resort does not allow this and requires the child to be present so that they can verify age. I am very sorry this was disappointing to you and we have discussed with our staff to make sure our future communication is clear on this topic. I hope you found it convenient to have the free delivery of all of the remainder of your tickets.
