Big Sky Resort Village Center

The Big Sky Resort located on the Mountain Village of Big Sky-MT, have a variety of options for all needs and price rates, divided between Summit, Shoshone and Huntley plus Skycrest buildings and condos around for lease or temporary rent. Great service and a happy environment to be, with all the fun skiers and snowboarders around. The village offers really nice options of dinning and drinking options. An amazing option for winter and summer destination from single to entire families.

This is absolutely the best ski resort I have ever been to. I have gone four times and am planning on coming back next year. It is so worth the money and not only that, next year's prices are very cheap!!! Best meal of my life was at the Timbers Restaurant. Get the bison.

Very nicely appointed slopeside studio and the rate was $129 - wow! You have to check in at the Shoshone and have them take your bags to the Village Center and the bellmen are not enthused since they have to load them into a suburban and then take them over. In fact, he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Room is clean and has a mini kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, sink etc. You walk out the back door of the hotel and you are ON the ski hill - nice! However, the large cat groomers run all night and swing around to go back up the hill right in front of your room so if you have a mountain view room with nice sliding doors, you better bring earplugs if you want to sleep. Outdoor hot tub was clean and hot. We stayed two nights. Location location location.

Although my husband and I stayed here to attend a business conference, it certainly felt like a true vacation. The condo was beautifully appointed with stunning views of the peak of Lone Mountain. The location is in the center of the mountain village and the shops, restaurants and ski lifts are just steps away. The staff was very accomodating and extremely friendly. Spectaular setting for business or leisure. We would definitely like to go back.

The Village Center Studio Suites has a sweet location right on the slopes of Big Sky. It is the best ski-in, ski-out location I've stayed in (Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jackson Hole). The only thing closer than the view of Lone Peak is the hot tub and pool. My wife and I thought it hadn't snowed overnight because the heated deck for this area had melted it and was dry. Just remember your room key card to access the enclosed area. They supply towels and plastic cups in the second floor public area, too.

The studio had a very comfortable murphy bed, was extremely well appointed, and had a kitchenette with fridge, sink, coffee pot and microwave. An electric tea kettle would be nice, since there is no stove. The bathroom is very large, with designer feel and large shower. A lighter blanket than the down comfortable would have been nice, since it was warm in the room. The lobby is quite nice, especially for a complex of its size.

A nice italian restaurant (Andiamo) is located nearby in the same complex, and it is an easy (five minute or less) walk to most of the other base area restaurants, shops, ticket booth and bars. The downside to this slopeside location is the need to shlep your luggage through the Huntley Lodge, and along an outdoor pedestrian walkway. The cowboy-hatted bellmen will do this for you. We borrowed a cart and made it work. Less convenient still is the surface parking for guests, which is located downhill on a dirt lot on the other side of the Huntley Lodge. There is a tunnel from the parking lot to the Lodge.
Overall, we would definitely stay in the Village Center Suites again.

This suite while a bit small with a Murphy bed was perfect for two people. Very nicely appointed with a couch and a kitchenette. Close proximity to the slopes only requiring a slight uphill walk to ski down to the lift for ski out. You can ski in right to the door. I would recommend saying on the second floor as it has the access to the outside. All was perfect except the shower which was a dribble at best - but "eco-friendly"! Great location - within easy walking distance to everything of importance within the mountain village. I would definitely go back.
