The location is at 17 & 89, only 20 min driving to many glacier, 1 hour to Waterton.
We lived in a cabin, very cozy and clean. The bathroom is inside the office, which is just across the trail road. It is very clean also. There is tap water outside the office.
The lady is very friendly. She offered us extra quilt and a water heater.

Well we went back this year again, and took 3 friends. We had 2 cabins in our group, and of course things were just as goood if not better than last year. If your looking for affordable accommodations near Glacier park, and don't mind that you don't have your own bathroom. This is the place for you. The shower house/bathroom area is extremely clean. We walked along the creek, which runs in front of all of the cabins. The campground area is very nice, trees break up each site, so your not right on top of your neighbor. ALSO BIKER FRIENDLY!!!!

Awesome location 4 miles from Many Glacier Rd, which takes you to the best hikes in the park in my opinion. Don't be shocked when you drive in, this is not the Hilton. What is has is a peaceful strong-flowing creek that gives you a nice "white noise" to sleep with in the cool evening. The cabins only hold 2 or 3 people depending on which one you get, so not for the entire family, but at $60 a night, you could rent 2 if there are 4 or more people. Frank and his wife are very hospitable, letting us use the full sized fridge and microwave in the office/bathroom building. The cabins are far from fancy, but they are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are spotless clean with good water pressure and heat. Any of the 4 cabins are no more than 50 feet from the office/bathroom building. Save some money and stay at this peaceful simple place run by very friendly folks. No cell service unless you have Verizon, but Frank let us use his house phone for a call home. We had 3 very memorable nights there, and would highly recommend it over other over-priced places in or out of the park, especially for the hard to find places on the east side of the park.

Remote, quiet, & good value for $60/night. I sat and chatted a while with Frank (owner) who is native Blackfoot and his dogs - a nice guy. His daughter decorated the cabins. Note the showers and bathrooms are in the main building a short walk away. If you're willing to try something different and save money to boot in a cozy, comfortable cabin - this place is for you. It's in the middle of nowhere, though - bring your own food.

We came to Glacier Park with out any real idea as to were we wanted to stay. We found this Gem at a very resonable price $60.00 each night (What a steal). We stayed in Cabin#4. Originaly we were only going to stay 1 night but ended up staying 4!!!! The creek is so comforting to listen to, and will definantly put you to sleep. The cabin had double bed & a twin, 2 chairs, night stand and a small table. Very clean & cozy. We just loved it!!!!

We stayed in Cabin #1 in August while traveling around Glacier and Waterton Lakes national parks, and were very pleasantly surprised by Glacier Elkhorn Cabins. The cabin itself was cute and cozy with an armchair, local decor, and a colorful quilt (who cares if the walls were plywood!). The common bathrooms looked brand new and were sparkling clean, and the showers were super hot with fantastic water pressure. The owners were very friendly and accommodating (given our late check-in). We also loved the setting right on a fast-moving stream. It's definitely not a set-up for everyone, but if you don't mind basic, this is about as clean and cozy as you can get for $60.

We stayed at Elkhorn Cabins and Campground for several nights at the end of July 2012. We had reserved our cabin in advance via e-mail as it was still available and the price was very affordable. Frank, the owner, is very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, at the time of our stay they did not accept credit cards, so we had to get cash. The cabin was very basic, but served its purpose well. The bathrooms are located in the office building nearby, so it's a short walk from the cabins. It's a rather small property with only 4 cabins and 4-5 tent sites. The cabin we stayed in had a double bed, a bench, a small table, a chair and a night table; however, as we only came to the cabin for the night it was enough. Cabins are also equipped with a private picnic table, a firepit and a bench at the cabin's little porch. It was a perfect find for us, when despite being extremely expensive the accommodation at Glacier NP was all full. We had a safe place with a comfy bed at a good price. The property is located just 4 miles north of Babb, MT and about 12 miles north of Saint Mary, where the free park shuttle is available for all park visitors. Will definitely stay there again next time!
