Owner description: Generations of Missourians have passed through Dr. Edmund A. Babler’s Memorial State Park's massive stone gateway for cookouts and family get-togethers or to spend time with friends. The park’s camping facilities, Civilian Conservation Corps architecture, and hiking, bicycling and equestrian trails help all visitors find their place to get away from it all, just minutes from St. Louis.

“Great campground, hiking trails, and nature center”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

This is a fantastic campground, with easily accessible and level camp sites. There are several hiking trails that we have been on, and the nature interpretive center is first class - small, but museum quality exhibits help visitors understand the surrounding area.

“Large open areas”

Hiking and biking. A peaceful place...not the most beautiful, but lots of quiet for those craving it.

“Clean camping”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

Camped here a few weekends ago. Campground was shady and clean. Restrooms were clean. Staff in the visitors center were friendly. Only downside was the pool and the stable were closed.

“Offers great hiking trails”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

I always find beautiful wildlife treasures in this park. The small visitors area is nice. I like stumbling on to CCC buildings hidden in the park, and try to figure out what they were meant to be. A great place to find birds.
