Owner description: Just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Kansas City, Weston Bend State Park offers secluded picnic sites, sweeping views of the Missouri River from an overlook and from trails, and a scenic overlook accessible to persons with disabilities. A three-mile paved loop trail takes hikers and bikers through the woody terrain and the park also features a campground.

We camped at Weston Bend over our spring break. The weather was very warm and perfect for camping so we tried out this spot. Full services don't open until April 15, so I can't comment on Shower house or host help. There were about 5 other campers when we showed uo so we had our pick. We planned to stay in site 23, but it was close to campers that looked like they could be partiers...good choice, we heard them from a distance until 3:00am.
Nice camping area, otherwise friendly campers and after the partiers left, very quiet.

Thank ksols

Weston Bend State Park is a nice, quiet park with nice views. There are hiking trails that are generally well marked and a paved biking trail as well. The outlook point is well worth checking out as it overlooks the river. Fall is beautiful to see across the river and the bright colors of the season. There is also a tobacco barn to see and that's about it. If you enjoy quiet and getting away from the city, this would be a good match for you. If you want lots of things to see, probably not a good place to visit. Relaxation, hikes and family picnics are good matches for this state park.
