“Nice Stay”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

Clean rooms, excellent customer service from front desk staff, Good breakfast. Nice hotel for the price. Great location, easy to get to. Only complaint is the pillows are too fluffy, made my neck hurt.

This hotel is under new owners and employees from what I understand so keep in mind they may still need time to make things better. The heated pool, is not heated, in fact it was so cold that my pregnant daughter could not go in it and enjoy it with us. The hot tub is not in great working order, only the jets on one side are working and the color of the whirlpool is not clear. The breakfast is great, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, something for everyone. They did not have hot coffee all day as advertised on their website. The coffee in the thermoses was old and cold. The front desk staff and the room cleaning people were very nice and sweet. The hotel is very clean and the bed and bedding is very comfortable. We had some problems with our cable when we first got there, but the maintenance person was up to fix it and replaced the box within minutes, so great and fast service for that. I will stay here again, but I hope that the items I mentioned are improved on my next visit.

This use to be a Best Western, changed hands two years ago.

Pros
Clean room
Good size bathroom with two sinks. Rare these days.
Complimentary breakfast was good. Good selection of hot and cold items.
Front desk service checking in and checking out
Wife loved the bed. It was okay for me. We both got a good nights sleep
Lobby size was excellent.
Breakfast area was large.
Seating area for breakfast was huge.
It was quiet. Love that when we are on vacation.

Con
The TV. Analog signal instead of digital. This is 2014 and every hotel and motel should have high definition signals feeding their TV's. Typical analog picture on a HDTV set. What a waste.

For the money, you can't go wrong. The zip code is 65775.

Room Tip: Very quiet hotel & room just off main highway.

I believe this was a Best Western or at least that was what showed up on my GPS. Don't be fooled by the Econo name this is a first class hotel with very clean, attractive and I would guess 5-9 years old. The rooms were spotless and linens new. The bed was very comfortable. I would rate this as an excellent value, low price, great location, super staff and delicious breakfast. When I come back to West Plains on business I'll stay here again.

Stayed for a week for work. No complaints. Room was on the second floor and mostly quiet. Had a noisy guest overhead one night. Gone the next day. Breakfast is good. Lots of parking. Was surprised to see the older style TV and some kind of satellite box, but not a big deal. It worked. Elevator and exercise room. Something that is lacking at the other hotel down the road. Laundry room would be nice. I have to go find a laundromat to do my clothes. Lobby is very nice and homey feeling. Pets allowed. Saw some big dogs. Never heard any. Save a few bucks and stay here.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room near the elevator. You can hear it "ding" in the middle of the night...

A newer Hotel with limited access to rooms from inside main hotel.
Room was comfortable and clean. Good quite AC. Got ground level room at back and parked the bike at the window for security. Lot was well lit. Had to go all the way around to front for re-entry. Doors locked from 11-6 for security.
Had a little trouble figuring out the TV remote...no instructions. Didn't know if it was cable, satellite or what.
The Breakfast was Great! Didn't have to eat again until evening.
Think price was close to $90 for 2 adults with AARP discount, but 2 people got $8-10 apiece, Breakfast.
I would stay there again.

My husband and I spent 2 nights recently at the Econo Lodge and had a King room with the jacuzzi. The room was very nice and we liked that it had a microwave and mini fridge. The bed was not real comfortable but not many hotels are like your bed at home. The front desk associate was very nice and friendly. Nice lobby area. The breakfast offerings were really good and many varieties of hot items were present....loved the pancake maker!! The only thing I could say that was a negative was that the indoor pool did not seem to be filtering right as there were small clumps of hair in the pool and the water was cloudy and when you placed your hand by the filters, some of them were not functioning. We did not have any problem with mold in the bathroom like the other reviewer noted. I would stay here again when in the area to visit family.

Room Tip: You may want a top floor room as there is an elevator and the walls/ceilings are thin. We could hear...
