Just as the notes show on my itinerary, nonsmoking room was requested but smoking room was all that was available. I was offered a bottle of Febreeze, so I could try to cover up the smell myself. At a minimum you would think some carpet fragrance/cleaner and a quick vacuum might have been offered to try and at least kill the smell a little.

Like every other Hampton Inn we've stayed at, this was a nice clean room and lobby area. The complimentary breakfast had lots of choices. The hotel staff was helpful in suggesting a place for dinner and for helping us with traveling out of St. Louis to avoid construction on the highways.

While the basic, excellent attributes of a Hampton Inn are present, improvements can be made. The hallway was dirty with cheerios on the carpet and the baseboards were notably dusty and dirty. The view from rooms facing west is over a dusty, loose gravel parking area and desolate undeveloped land. The adjacent parcels are clearly not within the hotel’s control, but the gravel lot appears to be part of their property. Smoking is allowed in designated guest rooms and hallways near those rooms on at least two floors we visited reeked of stale smoke. Room unit air cons are well controlled by the wall-mount thermostat, but the units themselves are noisy and disturb sleep as they cycle on and off.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near smoking rooms if smoke smell disturbs you. Ask for high numbered room on south sid...

This hotel had everything we needed - clean room, refrigerator, microwave, good breakfast and coffee - at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

we booked a one night stay for just a quick weekend over to St Louis.Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was outstanding and sleep was the best. Well done Hampton Inn.

We wish more Hamptons allowed small dogs as this one does.

We stopped in during a recent toad trip and this HI is right on the interstate. There are several places to eat within walking distance as well

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was very good. This is a great place to stay if your in the area.

We stayed at this hotel on Aug 17th during a trip to visit our daughter, who lives in Eureka. I had stayed here previously. We stopped to inquire to a room and were told exactly the amt. quoted on the website. Our room was clean and in order. The hotel was quiet even though located next to I-44. My husband was awaken at about 4am by a loud clunking noise. I continued to sleep on but it kept him awake until he finally got up about 6:30am. He grabbed a cup of coffee and went for a walk and heard the noise outside in the parking lot and it was coming from an exhaust vent for the boiler. He showed that to the clerk, and the clerk promptly refunded our cost for the room. This was awesome customer service for me, and we will stay there again, although we probably won't take the room at the end of the hall.
