My husband and I were going to be in Trenton, Mo for just 1 night and stayed at the Country Home Inn. It was very clean and quite comfortable. It was quiet. Breakfast was available but because of our itinerary we only had juice and coffee. But continental breakfast was available. The desk clerk the evening we checked in was very friendly and accommodating.

When we are back in Trenton we would stay here again.

Room Tip: We wanted king size beds and there were rooms available

This hotel is family owned and operated. I have always had a very clean room and very good customer service. I recommend staying here, as the rooms are also quiet. I typically stay on the second floor on the side opposite of Hwy 65. No hair dryers, ironing boards or coffee makers in room. If you bring some Starbucks Via and your own coffee cup the microwave and hot water in the lobby are just fine. The Washington Street Grill located about 50 feet from the property is a very good place for food and drink. No issues with WiFi or electronics in room.

Room Tip: Recommend second floor opposite of HWY 65

Very poor accommodations. The guy at the front desk was rude. I guess I had interrupted one of his many meals. The room was large but sparsely furnishes. WiFi was all but nonexistent, was not ably to connect in the room but it was good in the lobby. If your in Trenton this is the place to stay, only because it IS the only place.

Don't forget your coffee pot, travel iron, and hair dryer because you won't get one here. Wi-Fi is spotty at best. No elevator. They do give you extra rags to clean your guns (hotel must serve a lot of hunters)- that is what the sign says, and don't try to sneak off with a towel because they count them and will charge you if any are missing. On the positive side, the room was extremely clean, beds are big and comfortable, it is quiet, staff are friendly, and there is a decent restaurant not more than a few yards from the hotel. The breakfast consists of rolls, juice and coffee - no milk, no cereal. I don't think there is a fitness room or a pool. Don't stay here for the amenities, but if you need a decent place to sleep, this will do just fine

Room Tip: No elevator - get a room on the ground floor

We had been traveling for over 14 hours and need a rest, stopped here and was greeted by a very nice front desk worker who went out of her way to accommodate us as they were fairly full as the railroad workers were staying there. Being slightly handicapped (bad leg) that it is a lot better for me to be on first floor & we prefer a King room non-smoking and all they had left was a smoking room she let us see the room first so we could see if it smelled to bad. the room was very clean and only a slight odor of smoke she went and got us the room spray that they use to make all the room smell fresh.

I would give this hotel a 2.5 rating. We used to stay at the bed and breakfast in town, but it's no longer open. They still have smoking rooms. There seemed to be a lot of people that worked for the railroad there, so it was full during the week. It was quiet and we basically slept there. I would stay here over Lakeview.

This is a very basic place. There really is not much in the way of breakfast offered, the towels are incredibly thin, there is one copy of the local paper available, there is no pool or exercise room, etc. Each room has a sign prominently displayed saying "Guests: effective immediately, all linens and towels are counted before arrival and upon departure. any missing ...will be charged to your account."...........not the warmest greeting!.........
.........On the other hand, this was just about the quietest place we've stayed in............we came there to sleep and it was very easy to do so.

Knowing what it offers and what it doesn't, I would not hesitate to return here.
