“Bare bones but Quiet and Comfortable”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

Don't forget your coffee pot, travel iron, and hair dryer because you won't get one here. Wi-Fi is spotty at best. No elevator. They do give you extra rags to clean your guns (hotel must serve a lot of hunters)- that is what the sign says, and don't try to sneak off with a towel because they count them and will charge you if any are missing. On the positive side, the room was extremely clean, beds are big and comfortable, it is quiet, staff are friendly, and there is a decent restaurant not more than a few yards from the hotel. The breakfast consists of rolls, juice and coffee - no milk, no cereal. I don't think there is a fitness room or a pool. Don't stay here for the amenities, but if you need a decent place to sleep, this will do just fine

Room Tip: No elevator - get a room on the ground floor

We had been traveling for over 14 hours and need a rest, stopped here and was greeted by a very nice front desk worker who went out of her way to accommodate us as they were fairly full as the railroad workers were staying there. Being slightly handicapped (bad leg) that it is a lot better for me to be on first floor & we prefer a King room non-smoking and all they had left was a smoking room she let us see the room first so we could see if it smelled to bad. the room was very clean and only a slight odor of smoke she went and got us the room spray that they use to make all the room smell fresh.

I would give this hotel a 2.5 rating. We used to stay at the bed and breakfast in town, but it's no longer open. They still have smoking rooms. There seemed to be a lot of people that worked for the railroad there, so it was full during the week. It was quiet and we basically slept there. I would stay here over Lakeview.

This is a very basic place. There really is not much in the way of breakfast offered, the towels are incredibly thin, there is one copy of the local paper available, there is no pool or exercise room, etc. Each room has a sign prominently displayed saying "Guests: effective immediately, all linens and towels are counted before arrival and upon departure. any missing ...will be charged to your account."...........not the warmest greeting!.........
.........On the other hand, this was just about the quietest place we've stayed in............we came there to sleep and it was very easy to do so.

Knowing what it offers and what it doesn't, I would not hesitate to return here.

This hotel is an old motel, wooden, smelly with terrible personnel. I had to stay here for work because it is the only hotel in the town. but there is 20 miles away a new hotel that i didn't lnow anout.Be prepared no iron and coffee maker in the room. Old heater, old TV. No table to work on. Terrible towels with spots and holes. Breakfast is a joke- no hot water for tea, no cereal, no fruits.
Rather drive 20 miles then stay here

There are very few choices of places to stay in Trenton. We've stayed here twice now and won't make that mistake again. The rooms are dated and not well cared for. I've never seen towels like this - I thought they we cleaning rags. Linens are rough and worn. Cheap hotel and we clearly got what we paid for. Next time we will drive a little further and stay elsewhere.
