“good stay and float”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

We stayed in an rv in the campground. Good hookups, a little muddy. The "store" is a mile away. No shuttle. Hiked up to get float trip details, a pain with 4 kids. Staff was c-l-u-e-l-e-s-s. Next morning the campground host gave us a ride, 3! miles to the float trip area so we could leave the rv hooked up. The float trip was awesome!! Try the rafts. Super fun! Upon returning we had to beg a teen to take us back to camp for $20. Not the best laid system for people with rv's. But the park was nice, quiet and heavily treed and float trip was really fun. KIds really liked this park.

“Great park!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Nice to visit and always enjoyable. The park is easy to get to and has many places to cook outside on a grill and picnic tables everywhere.

“River rising”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

We stayed in the cabins at the park and while the cabin was cute I cant recommend this camping experience. Our cabin was over a low water crossing and the night we stayed there were storms and rising waters. I found out once I was home that the camp grounds were evacuated by the local law enforcement. When we awoke after the WORSE nights sleep in an excuse for a bed the water was rushing across the creek. We were in a smaller vehicle and decided with waters not cresting until the Sunday we did not want to stay for our two nights booked. Chalking it up to Missouri weather we knew we would have to pay for the entire weekend but after reading that the campground was evacuated I decided to call and see if I could at least get my pet stay refund back since there was no animal in the unit for that night. The gentleman on the other end was rude and argumentative and told me "the water wasn't THAT high" over the low water crossing although the law enforcement seemed to be putting out warnings after warnings not to drive over the running water. Park had lots of places to picnic but NOT good access to swimming or fishing. Hiking was not trails. If you want to go fishing head on down to Jamestown to experience the Meramec.

“Great Drive”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

I took a drive through the park and it was very peaceful. There are a lot of hiking trails throughout the woods. I was only there for a short time, but it was nice outdoor scenery.

“Nature at its best”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

The title pretty much sums it up. We go here several times a year. We go camping we go on hikes we always go on picnics and sometimes we even throw a party or two there. This is just a really lovely place to go in the summer time.
