I always ask for a high floor, quiet room (away from elevators and ice machines) - which, it turns out isn't hard to do at this hotel because they don't HAVE an elevator. This is very very important if you ever travel with anyone who has mobility issues. None of the ones in our party did but felt like it after we dragged all of our bags upstairs and then back down upon check-out. It would be nice if they had mentioned this on their website since we would have probably booked a first floor room. Unfortunately, once we found out (upon arrival) and tried to change, all of the first floor rooms were occupied. Otherwise, the room was clean and not cramped. The breakfast was fine - normal cold continental + a waffle maker. The staff both at the front desk and the breakfast area are very accommodating and helpful. It's also in a very conveniently located area right off the highway with several restaurants and a movie theater nearby. The area seemed well lit and safe. For one night at $35, we thought it was well worth the $$. If passing through Springfield, MO again, we would stay here.

Our room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The negatives were the coffee pot in the room was dirty and had burnt, dried coffee in the bottom. The shower head was mounted low on the shower wall and was stuck in the pulse massage position and the hand held spray wand didn't spray - it just trickled.
I would still stay there again when in Springfield.

The lady that served breakfast during my stay - night clerk was personable and very nice.
Enjoyed her conversation and the service was great. Did pay for 8 nights in advance.
Decided to cut short by 1 day. Did not get a refund. Did have a good rate for the 8 days,
but think a refund for the 1 day was in order. Hotel was quiet, clean and well maintained.
Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

(late review, my apologies) My family rented 4 rooms here in July through Orbitz/Priceline, choosing Springfield because it was halfway between all of us and this hotel for its value. We were a bit nervous because of the low price, and the fact that they're a pet-friendly hotel (barking dogs, 'old dog' smell in the rooms), but we were more than pleased with our stay! The staff was friendly, courteous and there was no dog-smell in any of our rooms. When we arrived, the lights between the beds didn't work in one room, but the staff was quick to check it out and get them working again. The pool was clean, breakfast was great (very kid friendly, which was important with 4 kids 5 and under), the common areas were well maintained, and, by our last morning (we stayed 2 nights), the breakfast staff knew what we were looking for and started our waffles as soon as we walked in, and that was with a full hotel! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

A Basic Hotel, but you can't beat it for value. Staff was all friendly, check in was smooth. Room was clean. Breakfast provided was much more than I would have expected. A good variety of offerings. Will definitely stay again if we spend the night in Springfield.

First off I want to say that it was the fastest check-in I've ever had at any hotel. The front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was cozy. I traveled alone so I didn't need a lot of space. Only complaint I have about the room was there no place to plug in my laptop while in use. The plug ins were tucked behind big furniture or in use by the lamps. The lamps by my bed did not work, but that didn't bother me.

The breakfast was decent. I love the blueberry waffles. There wasn't alot else to choose from. Mostly cereals, danish and other bread type items. There was some watered down fruit that look like it came from a can that I took a pass on.

The location was convenient to the mall and other shopping areas and in close vicinity to 65 hwy.

Overall the hotel was average looking and you can tell it's old, but it was comfy and the staff was friendly so that's all I cared about. I'm not a high maintenance kind of gal so this worked out well for me.

We were totally pleased with our 2-night stay. The room was exceptionally clean (smelled freshly cleaned), very quiet (requested top floor room) and quit comfortable (new bed). The owner (Meena) greeted and welcomed us, and almost served us breakfast as she prepared our waffles for us. When we make plans to tour Branson again, we will make reservations at this Days Inn again and it's more affordable....$45 per night vs. $105 in Branson.

Room Tip: We always request top floor rooms.
