I have eaten here many times over the past few years when I'm in town... I like the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant, it reminds me more of a city, and the food is good, but the entrees are hit or miss each time I'm here. This time I called during the day to make a reservation, and when we arrived for dinner our name had never been written down, so we had to start out at the bar tables. The hostess was great, she apologized and got us to the first available table. We both had the pan seared sea bass with saffron. The quality of the fish itself was excellent, but once it was pan seared in oil, with the creamy sauce, and the fried clams on top (which I didn't expect because it was described as a "chowder"), and the side of bacon risotto, it was just way too heavy. I did weekly undercover ratings for different restaurants in Chicago for an entire year, and I can't say I ever had a fish dish so rich. I felt like I needed referral for a cardiology consult and a gallon of water on the way out! That aside, the rest of our meal was nice, the calamari and wedge salad were really good.
