We were excited to eat at Hemingways again after a long time away. We remembered a great atmosphere, good food and friendly people. I guess two out of the three isn't too bad except we would have much preferred the food to still be a wonderful memory. We were intending to order off the menu but the waitress suggested the buffet as it had some of the items on it that we were going to order. Not a good choice. Such a disappointment. The food was very bland, served lukewarm and overcooked. The shrimp was chewy as were the clam strips and catfish portions. Actually, the entire buffet was below average. On a more positive note, the atmosphere and friendly staff is still there but sadly, we will not be going back to what was once a wonderful restaurant.

Hemmingway's is located on the 4th floor of the BassPro store. While it offer an extensive menu, I tecommend the "all you can eat" buffet offering good assortment food choices.
While you are there, check out the NRA gun museum connected to the restaurant. Caution...I have taken several people to the museum and esch time spent over 4 hours there. It has an amazing collection!

Their Sunday brunch is so good! They also have their lunch & dinner seafood buffet is sooo tastey! The salad bar is amazing and such great choices! We have been there several times, also with family; each time is a different experience and different food. The salad bar always has lots to choose from leafy greens, toppings galore, fresh cut fruit and homemade "salads" made: potato salad, ham salad, fruit salad, etc. All have been wonderful. Even one time we sat at the bar, bartender was very talkative and informative about the town and things to do there. Fried shrimp, baked catfish, casseroles.....Try everything! Worth the price!! You will leave full and happy!

This was one of the best lunch buffets. There is a large selection of hot and cold items. There was more than a person should have plus warm and cold desserts. If shopping at Bass Pro this is must stop. Try sitting across from the bar to see their large fish aquarium- pretty awesome.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at Bass Pro Shop's home base. I had the Mahi sandwich and my wife had the shrimp - excellent! Sit at the bar and watch the fish in the huge aquarium.
