This hotel is a wonderful trip back in history. We were greeted in such a friendly manner when we arrived. We had the family suite and the kids loved the bunk beds and having their own room. The room was immaculate!! The breakfast was the usual continental breakfast but it is in such a great area for restaurants. Several older restaurants are around to make it an enjoyable experience. Downtown is just down the street. I also agree with other reviews that the noise level is not the best, but that is because it is an older hotel and you aren't in a large building. You are enjoying a nice stay with no stairs, no elevators and no upstairs neighbors. We will be back!!

Richard B: Thank you for your review. Our family suites are very popular with children because not every hotel has a room with bunk beds. The convenience of parking near your room without stairs and elevators is a plus when unloading the car for the evening. We look forward to your return visit.

I got a room with a fridge and microwave which is a nice plus, my room was close to the street but I did not hear the traffic in the room. Bathroom seemed colder than the room. Welcoming pets is a plus when traveling with my dog. I brought my own food so didn't go to the free breakfast. Having a grocery store close by was very nice too. The housekeeping staff did a great job. Overall I was pleased with my stay at this hotel.

I wanted an inexpensive decent place for Susan and me to spend the night. That's what I got. This is an old, but well-maintained place. Our room was very small - would be claustrophobic after a while - but great for one night, and everything worked right. And everything was clean clean clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was just fine.

Robert H: I am pleased to here that we were able to accommodate you in one of our rooms, I am guessing that you were in one of our rooms with one full size bed those rooms tend to be a little smaller than our other guest rooms but as you stated are cozy for a night stay. I appreciate the compliments on the cleanliness of the rooms we do have award winning housekeeping staff and they work hard to make sure all rooms are clean and well maintained.

The check-in staff were very friendly. This was an older historic property. It was well maintained and the location was excellent. It was about 3 miles from downtown and it was about 3 miles from Bass Pro Shops. The breakfast was good and the check-out was easy. A good value.

Loved staying at this motel for 1 night in February 2014 as part of our route 66 trip across America.

Staff where very welcoming and even gave us a free keyring!
room was lovely and clean and looked just how i imagine it would of done in the 50's (apart from the tv!) when Elvis stayed!!

this place has a lovely charm and feel to the place that made it one of my favorites out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip and i would highly recommend it.

I enjoy finding motels along "the old highways" in many cities. Usually built in the mid-20th century, they were long ago overshadowed by large chain hotels along the interstate highways. Rail Haven is such a hotel and is very well preserved. Seems to have been recently renovated, but it has preserved the original architecture and feel of a Route 66 motel. Rooms were nicely furnished and clean. Good quality linen. Paid about $90 for a one-night stay on a Friday in the off-season..

BillyJeff: Thank you for reviewing the hotel. I am glad that you appreciate the history that our hotel had to offer. We are a franchised hotel but like you said not located on the busy interstate highways, we strive to preserve the history that this hotel has being located along route 66.
