“Excellent Service, Go Early”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

London Calling is one of the most unique dining experiences in Springfield. Even though I always heard that British food was icky, this food truck definitely changed my mind. My family & I each chose a different pasty. We were was able to sample 4 pastys & 2 desserts. I loved the chicken pot pie, chicken enchilada & bangers & mash pasties. The traditional pasty was a bit too traditional for my taste. The desserts were lovely. London Calling also has British candy bars & soft drinks to purchase as well. The customer service was excellent and dining in the double decker bus was a great treat. The gentleman at the food truck even said he could open up the driver's seat for my 4-year-old to sit in. I would suggest going early as they run out of homemade goods quick. London Calling is an excellent departure from the same old Springfield fare.

“A Bit of Britain in the Ozarks”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

This wonderful new restaurant/food truck is having a heyday here in Springfield. Located on Glenstone, just north of Chestnut Expressway, you can't miss it. Just look for the double decker bus on the east side, and pull in. The bus is where you can sit and eat (both floors) if you'd like. There are also a few picnic tables if the weather is good. You can also carry out. They opened to a rousing reception, selling out all their pasty's in 2 days. They thought they had enough for a month! Because pasty's aren't a fast food item to make, they are currently open on a limited basis, Thursday-Saturday. Hope this changes at some point

Now, on to the pasty's. They have a number of varieties, including desert items. We've been twice so far, and everything is good. Just a hint, if you like something particular on their menu, don't wait until late; you might miss out.

Their menu is listed on their website, www.londoncallingpastycompany.com . The pasty's are all 5.99. They have cottage pie at 7.49, and that is the most expensive thing they have.

So glad they are here!
