“A Bit o' Britian on the trendy side”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

The owner is British, and very friendly. Usually there, and makes his way around ensuring his guests are happy. The food is good, menu is varied, depending on what fresh ingredients are available on any given day. Be sure to make reservations on Friday or Saturday night. The pub area is cozy, atmosphere is friendly. The restaurant side is a bit more refined, but still a good relaxed atmosphere. Soooooo glad Mike and his wife opened this! (We go often)

“Sustainable greatness”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Farmers Gastropub is absolutely outstanding. I pay attention to where my food comes from and they do here as well. This restaurant finds local and sustainable products for their customers and prepares them with care. I really enjoyed the environment here, friendly staff and the owner was there mingling with customers. It's worth it to pay a bit more for the food when it's carefully selected. The fish is to die for.

“$2 for ONE slice of cheese”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

I have eaten here a few times and it has been pretty good. The fish and chips are good. The burger I had was ok not fabulous, much smaller than the bun. The kicker was, I asked to have a slice of cheddar cheese added. Didn't even realize until it was time to pay that one slice of cheese was 2 bux! I fully expected 75 cents maybe even 99 cents but 200 cents? Poppycock!!!!!

They claim to use locally grown produce and meats which is great. BUT!!! I have a hard time believing that anyone expects to get 2 dollars for one slice of cheese.

It was my last visit... shame too. I believe very much in supporting local businesses but at the same time do not think this kind of pricing is acceptable.

“Real deal English pub”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Love it. Shepards Pie is great. Fish and Chips anyone? The owner actually travels around the Ozarks hand picking from local farms the ingredients for his recipes. This place is one of my favorites!
