Since the new Drury Inn & Suites has just opened next door, the old Drury Inn is now called Pear Tree Inn and the old Pear Tree Inn is now called Thrifty Inn. The oldest hotel is now the Thrifty Inn, the second oldest is now called Pear Tree Inn. Might be confusing on the reviews since previous reviews of Pear Tree Inn are now for the Thrifty Inn and previous reviews of Drury Inn are now for Pear Tree Inn. Decent hotel and clean. The bathroom smelled a little moldy when showering. Service was great. Breakfast was great.

I really liked this hotel. The elevator was kinda slow but it was only 4 floors so we took the stairs. THe breakfast was pretty good. Hot food. My sisters were staying next door in the Peartree and they ate breakfast with us because our breakfast was better. Considering the hotels in Sikeston I think this is one of the better ones. THey have a computer with internet access in the lobby. And they give you three free drinks everynight. And they also have a heated pool and hot tub. My only complaint was my son left some things in the room and I called back there and they said they sisn't find them. Also Lamberts is about a couple miles down the street.

Place is very close to Lambert's Restaurant which is the whole reason we visited this town. We also stopped by the Double Nickel - a nearby bar - and heard a very good country singer there and played pool.

It came with a very nice free breakfast, which was enjoyed.

We also got 3 free happy hour drinks each, but were so stuffed from Lambert's we couldn't drink them all.

Room was comfortable and basic, nothing overly impressive here.

Only concern was there were about 50 construction guys staying at the hotel as their home, there on assignment. Nothing against contstruction workers, but I think we were one of the only females there and it was a bit intimidating/etc.

After reading Trip Advisor reviews we decided to stay here on our way back to Indiana. While the staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was very good, we thought that this hotel was just average for the price. You get drinks and snacks in the evening but we prefer good beds and pillows. The feathers kept sticking me from one of the pillows, not to mention they were coming out and the beds were a bit lumpy, but bearable. There was a dead beetle in our bathroom which didn't thrill us either. This hotel is NOT new, they are building a Drury Inn and Suites next door but it was not yet open. Anyway, we thought the hotel was just okay and not really worth the price, would probably try another hotel next time around just for economy. We usually stay at Hamptons.
But understand that I also wouldn't tell someone not to stay here, we just had a little different experience from the rest.

Comfortable and very clean accommodations. This is a new property. They allowed us to secure a room a bit early which was appreciated as I wanted to stay in the room and rest while my husband went to a museum. Very helpful desk people. Good breakfast and good internet hookup, which is important to us. Rather small vanity area and room for the price, but overall an excellent place to stay.
