“Lots of food plus entertainment”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Lambert's serves comfort food and lots of it. From the moment you walk in the door you realize this is not a pretentious place. There are license plates from everywhere plastered on the walls. Live piano music can be heard throughout the place and add to the generally festive atmosphere. This place is famous for it's "throwed rolls" and they do literally throw rolls at you. Now, these aren't just regular rolls but big as softballs. Employees even throw the rolls from the balcony at times. This place seems to be perpetually busy and there are plenty of servers. Be prepared for huge serving portions. This is an especially fun place to visit with a large group.

“Excellent, Don't miss out on this place”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Fun place, food is excellent. Price is right. The only complaint we had was we had enough food on one entree to make 3 meals. You order you food then they bring you extra sides. Fried potatoes (better than grandmas), fired okra, tomato/pasta, black eyed peas and of course the throwing hot roll

“Great experience - took lots of pictures”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

My brother passed this way the previous week and recommended this restaurant to us. There were over sixty people waiting to get in, but they handle the crowds very well, so we only had a fifteen minute wait. The food was good and there was plenty of it, and that's not even counting all the food they ply you with once you start in on whatever you ordered. The interior decor and the spectacle of the "throwed rolls" keep us entertained. Be aware that they only take cash - no checks or plastic - but they have an ATM so you can get some cash if you need it.

“Country eatin' at it's best”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Barbecue pork, okra and grits all on one plate, thought I died and went to Dixie heaven! Food is very good. Portions are huge. Atmosphere is fun. Don't fret over which 2 sides you order; they come around and give you scoops of every side order on the menu. The rolls are soft and yeasty. Yum!
