The staff at Rusty Spurs Cafe caters in classic manner to the regulars at their special table; there is also a "smoking room".
The regular menu is simple and awesome, in taste and price. The lunch/dinner buffet was only observed one day: generous meat loaf and BBQ chicken was featured. The price was right but we chose off the menu: real potatoes mashed with tasty gravy, tender chicken breast smothered in cheese, bacon and onions, grilled small shrimp, tasty fried onion rings, dark green salad.
Breakfasts (served all day) were the best: small eggs with tangy sausage or generous thick bacon; cinnamon rolls and GREAT coffee.
Overall the hospitality is effusive, genuine, dependable and basic.

While traveling I like trying to spend my money with local businesses. This is an old school cafe including a smoking section that allows non smokers to smell smoke smells while eating. Food was OK but nothing to write home about.

We have ate here twice now and I won't go back. Each time our food has been cold and this time I found a hair on my plate. The service is good and the prices are low, but it's still not the place for me.

The locals and the city police were eating there...even though that speaks for itself....the food was great and priced right!
