“Great bacon, eggs and hash browns.”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

Sunday morning (late) and the Main Street Diner had a short wait, but the breakfast was worth it. Breakfast is served until 1 PM..which is closing time on Sunday. We got a seats at the counter and had ring-side seats to watch the action. The servers were at full-tilt but still had time to joke a bit. There are lots of 'regulars', evidenced by the friendly banter. The breakfast menu is extensive. I ordered eggs over-easy, bacon and hash browns. I asked for the bacon and hash browns to be 'well done', and they were. The bacon was thick sliced and with absolutely NO grease. The bacon had a 'smoky' flavor which made it some of the best I've had in a long time. My wife ordered an omelet with bacon...she wasn't overjoyed to find that it also had cheese, but was able to work around that. Hot coffee with frequent fill-ups. It's easy to see why they have a following of regulars.

“Have a memorable breakfast or lunch in St. Peters!”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

The Main Street Diner is in “Old Town” St. Peters, MO, just off of Hwy. 70 (Mid Rivers Mall Dr. exit) on the north side of the hwy., next to the busy QT station/diesel travel center. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, just a small frame bldg. about the size of a house. But when you walk in the door, you’re greeted by a friendly “Hello” from the staff and a large Betty Boop next to a chalkboard showing the day’s specials. There are only about 10 tables, in addition to counter seating. The décor is Americana with lots of fun wall decorations and a TV. But the best part is that you quickly pick up on the fact that this is a very friendly place with many regulars. The menu has a good variety of choices for breakfast and a fair amount for lunch, the prices are reasonable, the portions are large, and the food is delicious! If you’re looking for a memorable breakfast or lunch stop apart from the chain restaurants, this is the place! The hours are 6am-2pm Tues.-Sat. and 6am-1pm Sun.
