Owner description: The Fabulous Fox Theatre first opened in 1929 as a movie palace in William Fox's motion picture empire. The theatre was reopened in 1982, and today it is one of the most exquisite venues in the country to enjoy live touring Broadway shows, concerts, and comedians. We hope you'll visit us for an upcoming show or one of our guided tours!

When your not watching the performance you can spend the rest of your time looking at the magnificent architecture. Not a bad seat in the whole place.

I've loved every show that I've gone to at the Fox. I've just always found it to be a tad pricy.

It has been restored and is absolutely beautiful. It looks like it did when I was a little kid. They have some great entertainment that comes there!! Dress up and feel like a 1920's movie star!

We went on one of the tours that are given three times per week. The decorative features and 1920's-era opulence is astonishing, as is the quality of the restoration that was done. Check their website for some pictures that provide some idea of the look.

They were setting up the stage for a show the day we were there, which was interesting in itself, but we didn't get the backstage or organ performance parts of the tour as a result.

The only detractions were the tacky and unnecessary Christmas decorations that were draped over many of the architectural features; the guide's constant references to the 1970's-period low point when a bottom-fishing owner tried catering to the "Kung Fu" audience (her words, not mine) resulting in much vandalism; and the hysterical fear that someone might see or take a picture of something they shouldn't (we didn't even have a camera).

The tour is inexpensive and free parking was provided for members of the tour group. It lasts about 90 minutes. I would suggest bringing opera glasses or binoculars for maximum enjoyment.

Have tickets to the Broadway series. The Fox is a beautiful venue that carries the best of traveling Broadway production and several touring musical and individual entertainers. The general area around the Fox is undergoing revitalization and is a nice area to visit, enjoy a meal and see a show.
