After visiting last year, our kids begged to come here again. We ordered the platter for 2 and it fed all 4 of us easily. What a bargain for under $25!! We didn't find the service slow at all, in fact it was friendly and pretty speedy! Our server thought our DD age 7 was pretty funny when she wiggled in her seat and sang and song about how much she likes lentils. The injera here is just delish. I could eat it plain, no problem. We had lunch late after a busy morning at the Science Center and this place was still really full. We took the last table. Ethiopian food is not hot or overly spicy. It's easy to please vegetarians with a really satisfying meal (not just another salad.) We will be back on our next trip for sure.

My family eats here regularly. Always have great food with friendly service. My son's favorite food on the planet is shiro wat and there's is always good. Atmosphere is lovely. Close to the botanical gardens and tower grove park.

Had Ethiopian food several times while living outside of st. Louis, decided to give this local place a try. South Grand location is great. Had a wonderful dinner with a friend. Other reviews had noted that service was slow. We didn't experience that at all, if anything it was a little faster then we expected for a leisurely Friday dinner. But, no one rushed us. Would have liked to see more meat pieces in the combination plate, but still left feeling full. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future meals.

We usually visit about every four to six weeks as a treat. The food and injera are always good. We must be lucky because we've never has really bad service, and never had a dish with ginger. They are always happy to help us pick complimentary dishes when we get more then on sampler platter to share or experiment. Look forward to our next trip to Grand.

The vegetarian combo was a nice smattering of dishes but the overload of ginger left each dish tasting like the next. I've eaten lots of Ethiopian food at restaurants throughout the country, frequently with my Ethiopian friend, and I think the ginger and greasiness left not enough room for high quality, authentic cuisine.
