This place is a dive. Looks like a bad vfw hall, but the portions are huge, and the food is really good. The pork kabob will feed you for two days, the pork steak is perfect. The side dishes don't match up with the BBQ, but don't let that stop you from visiting.

I had the half slab ribs with potato salad and beans. Ribs tasted ok. Good flavor and good sauce. Potato salad very good. Hubby had the 18 oz pork steak which covered half his plate. I sampled a bite of his pork steak which looked like a small roast. The taste and flavor were a little off. I had read in TA where the pork steak was boiled first. I do not know other than the taste was different from my ribs. A bit slow service in refilling drinks and picking up check and credit card for payment. $37.00 was a bit high for the meal we had.

When other reviewers say there is no atmosphere, that is an understatement. You could find better decor at a garage sale. The food tasted fine but is way overpriced. It was $70 to feed two adults and three kids sandwiches. The worst part was them hiding a "mandatory" tip in my bill. After discovering it I was told all parties over 4 people get that added. Take my advice and avoid the headache of being there.

Service was good. We went on a Saturday night at 5:15 and were seated immediately. Place was filling up quite a bit while we were there. Had the pork steak, was HUGE. Pretty sure they boil it first, then maybe grill it. It had that boiled taste to it. Sauce was on the sweet side. Food came out room temperature, didnt bother sending it back for hot food. Wife had a pulled pork samdwich, it was huge as well. Didnt taste good at all, dont know what it was just had a funny taste to it. Beer glasses were frozen, but the draft beer wasnt very cold. Maybe the bottles are colder. Probably wont return, and thats a shame, the pork steak was the size of a small roast and very tender, just dont care for boiled barbecue. I do have to say the service was excellent.

There's no ambiance and service is only adequate, but the bar-b-que is good. The value is outstanding--huge servings of meat and two sides for around $12. The bar drinks are generous, and the beer is cold.
