“RE: nice elevators for upper floors/easy access into Powell Hall”

Went to the Disney concert. Powell is handicapped-accessible with elevators just to the right of the incredibly beautiful foyer. Any usher will help you find your seat and will get you to the right level.

This is one of the most outstanding concert halls in America. The acoustics are superb and seating is wonderful. It is a jewel for St. Louis, and I recommend coming to hear any St. Louis Symphony concert for a great evening or morning concert!

There are several free concert opportunities that I've used: the 50 Free program; Onstage at Powell, and various venues around town like in Tower Grove Park. Check their website, it's amazing!

“Getting a Little Cultured”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Went with my girl to the St. Louis Symphony-Hubbard Street Dance Chicago @ Powell Hall. She was going for a school project.

I tagged along and enjoyed the venue. Very nice architecture. The event itself was something I normally would not attend, but would on occasion in the future.

The surrounding area was lively for a Sunday afternoon. Parking was easy and safe. The staff was kind and helpful.

“Great time in a grand old concert hall”
Reviewed February 14, 2012

Attended a Disney concert with my family and we had a great time. The acoustics are great and the decor of the Hall takes you back to the time of the great theaters. There are a lot of good reastaurants nearby, we all highly recommend the Bistro Jazz Club. Parking is plentiful and nearby. The only cautionary note is for persons who struggle with stairs. We had seats in the Dress Circle Boxes. They provided a great view but the stairs getting to them were very steep. Persons who struggle with stairs would have had a difficult if not impossible time negotiating them. The grand tier boxes appear to be much easier to navigate are about the same price.

“One of the best orchestras in the country”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

I attend the St. Louis Symphony regularly. Music Director David Robertson does an amazing job of creative programming and I have yet to hear a bad concert there.
