My husband and I, both from San Diego, CA moved out here 6 years ago and realized that we missed really good mexican food. After venturing out and being completely disappointed in what we found, we decided to try one more restaurant. WOW! We were so happy to find real tasty mexican food! We talked with the owner, who also lived in California for a short time, got to meet his wife and family, all working at the restaurant. This is a tiny restaurant and it is truly a family run business, but it is very worth the time and the drive out here. The tortas are delicious and the birria is just devine! On the weekends they offer menudo and I believe that sometimes they also offer pozole, but their specials do change so check with them as to what they have. They also have a very yummy milanesa, that's just the way my mom made. The salsas range from tasty to hot and tasty. :D None of that ketchup that some of the local "mexican" restaruants offer out here. They close early on Sundays, 3pm I believe, so check with them on their hours.
