My adult son and I ate here for lunch on Saturday as we were in town to watch a baseball game Saturday evening. My son has just recently been told he really is sensitive to a lot of certain foods, including wheat, wheat gluten, cheese, tomatoes....
we needed to find a spot to eat she he could enjoy some food !
We stopped in around 2 pm after a few hours at zoo.
We both had a California roll and another type of roll that I don't at the moment remember the name of. Three rolls, and two soft drinks-$20 pretty reasonable if you ask me.
Thrace is a small neighborhood restaurant . If I lived here I'd come back again.

We'd love to welcome you back if you ever find yourself in STL again! We're always happy to accommodate our guests who are gluten free or looking for dairy alternatives. It's great to hear you both enjoyed your lunch with us!

Best,

Jay, Owner

We had a great time and the sushi was pretty good. Try the plum wine (it was nice). We lucked out and caught happy hour, which was a nice price break.

Had lunch there recently. good sushi, although I didn't like the mushy shrimp in the hand roll. It reminded me of those frozen baby shrimp. the rest was very good...tasty miso, good rolls including spicy squid. genmai cha was good. Waiter was efficient and attentive but not hovering. He still managed to convey some unwelcoming attitude, but perhaps cultural differences. Sushi chef spent all unattended moments at the patron side of the bar scanning Facebook (we could see his side of the laptop), making it seem a bit like we bothered him by ordering. menu was limited to sushi and some appetizers, so don't expect tempura or grilled items. The decor was interesting, with small and stylish booths and head shots on the walls, but the seating was limited (5 or 6 booths?), booths seemed a bit grimy, and the head shots looked like they were left over from the previous use of the building, perhaps as a beauty salon?

I will definitely go back, but only when feeling like sushi. Spent $50 with tip for lunch, so it was a bit pricey for me, and only a couple of pieces left over.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your lunch, James. We actually received quite a bit of feedback about our staff, and have worked hard to make sure our entire team is ready to serve our customers like never before. We'd love to welcome you back, and see if you'd be willing to offer another review. We'd be happy to hear how we're doing!
