“Easy to get around”

We took advantage of the Metrolink and trolley service to get around. No parking hassles and you get dropped off at any of the attractions in Forest Park.

“Wow! This is a great park!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014

Forest Park is a gem in St. Louis. The park is huge - bigger than Central Park in NYC and beautiful. The art museum, zoo, paddle boats, boathouse restaurant, beautiful pavilions and more are all in the park. The art museum houses a beautiful collection and is free. The zoo is free also. The boathouse is a great place to have a little break. You can sit inside or sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. There are paths all over the place if you are a runner. There are movies in the park on certain nights. If I lived in St. Louis, I would be at Forest Park very often. This is a must-do in my opinion.

“Great walking park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

I'm fortunate to be able to travel to St. Louis on a frequent basis and I always stay close to Forest Park. I always make time to walk through the park either in the morning, afternoon, or late evening. The museums are all worth the visit, the fountains great to stop and take in, and includes a great restaurant. The park is always full of activity, always very safe, and always worth just stopping the car and taking a walk through!

“Easily rivals Central Park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

This park boasts the world-class St. Louis Art Museum and St. Louis Zoo, along with a boat house restaurant, 2 golf courses, the Muny (an outdoor amphitheater with musicals drawing Broadway stars as the leads) and miles of beautiful walking, running, biking trails all set in the beauty of the Central West End. Lovely, must-see.

“So many things to do and most of them free!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2014

Nothing to dislike about this park. Original site of St. Louis' World Fair. Lakes for boating. Zoo. Art Museum. Outdoor amphitheater. Play grounds galore. Trees and flowers amazing. Overlook views glorious. I was there on a beautiful July weekday and there wasn't a parking place to be found. All the locals were enjoying their beautiful, free park.
