My kids and I love going to Forest Park to do whatever. From going to The Boat House, to one of the museums, it's just awesome. I highly recommend walking around the "cascades"!

Enjoyed the stroll with dog and grand-daughter. Lots of people. Lots of traffic but still beautiful park at short distance from our hotel, The Cheshire.

The bike lanes in this park are a really wonderful part of the park. The park is very large and has many pretty places to sit and take in the views.

The park is beautiful but geez, what's up with the parking lots costing 15 dollars?? There is free street parking, but it fills up near things like the zoo and museum, leaving the parking lots as the only parking option. But seriously, 15 dollars? That's excessive.
My suggestion is to park somewhere free and take the park tram around the park, which only costs a couple of bucks.

We were staying at a hotel by Forest Park, I had no idea before arriving how large it was or how much there is to see and do. There are plenty of large free car parks within the park and there is lots of tracks and paths to walk. There is also the pavillion and museums and the zoo. We drove through on a Tuesday and they were getting ready for the Tuesday twilight which looked interesting. Long into the night from the hotel we could see lights on and people playing sport, it's a park with something for everyone. We spent a whole day there doing just the pavilliion, zoo, and history museum. Once you've done the arch this is a second must see in St Louis.
