Over 100 yrs old, this park is bigger than Central Park in NYC (which New Yorkers never want to believe) and includes so many of our city's admission-free attractions: Zoo, History, Art & Science Museums, Shakespeare Festival (late Spring), Balloon Races (September), and offers tennis, golf, ice-skating, running & bicycle paths -- Thanks to a not for profit organization, Forest Park Forever which has raised millions in the last 3 decades, the 1900 infrastructure has been shored up and replaced and Forest Park now sparkles with beautiful landscaping and renewed strength for the future. Visit anytime, to play or simply relax.

This is a beautiful park with so much to offer. It has the zoo, the Muny, boat rides, picnic areas, Art Museum, Museum of Natural History, walking trails. The Planetarium is at the far end of the park. It gets very crowded so you may drive around a bit trying to find a place to park.

I love Forest Park. I drive through it several times a week. It's a relaxing alternative to jumping on the highway & blasting to my next meeting.
I play golf several times a year at one of their several courses; I fish Jefferson Lake a couple times a year. There's the world-class, Zoo (free admission).
There's too many things to mention without forgetting something. Look it up & come enjoy!

Remember, this is a public park in a major urban area. Park wisely & lock your valuables out of sight, so that your wonderful visit isn't spoiled by some opportunist.

Also, please look the park over online, call the attractions ahead & get as much info as possible to help make your trip more enjoyable.
