“Celebration”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We went to have some custard after a 6th grade band concert. It was the perfect place to go to celebrate with a 12 year old. Ok, so I'm using her as an excuse because I would have enjoyed it no matter whether she was there or not. Very definitely a "must experience" if visiting St. Louis.

“Enjoyed our custard.”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

We were traveling with a group of 18 and had heard not to miss Ted Drewes. We were in the 'Hill' neighborhood so it was pretty close by. We didn't mind the walk up windows or lines. We did enjoy the large serving and good taste. Both kids and adults enjoyed our trip to Drewes.

We didn't see any place to sit, it's an outside walk up with casual parking lot standing to eat your custard. Not a problem for our group. There were lots of flavors and even banana splits on the menu.

“Superb Frozen Custard”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

This is a St Louis tradition and a St Louis landmark too. The choice of flavors is so extensive that it can be difficult to choose. Once you do though, prepare for a very memorable treat. There is not a better frozen custard to be found anywhere. If the line is a bit long, be patient. It is definitely worth the wait! What ever you do, don't miss Ted Drewes!!

“Not worth the trip”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

The frozen custard is good, but there are so many other good places to get custard that it's not worth the trip unless you happen to be passing by. The toppings were skimpy and there was very little flavor as a result. Meh.

“A St. Louis Tradition”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

This is a good place with lots of history but the fact is there are lots of other great places to get custard in St. Louis that are just as good and even better. (Fritz's for one.)
