We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday at the restaurant. From the time of the reservation until the conclusion of the dinner the event was flawless. From the appetizer menu we enjoyed the lobster turnovers although I did have to explain to one guest sweetbreads were actually not sweet nor bread.... All the main courses were cooked to perfection and pacing of the food was perfect. We never felt rushed even on a busy Saturday night.

The food was excellent - from start to finish. We were there on a business trip entertaining clients. The meal was delicious - the service was outstanding. The beer and wine selections were good. This is a gem of a restaurant.

Had a great night out with the girls and tried several of the dishes prepared here. The duck three ways was delicious but in my opinion the best of the night was the sampler appetizer. Everything was amuse-bouche size with a crab cake, lobster turnover, honey mustard shrimp and veal dumpling. It was a great way to try a few appetizers. They were all melt in your mouth. And the breads for the table...we got two baskets of bread because it was SOOO good. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended several items that were his favorite. Overall a great atmosphere. Service was exactly what we wanted, not overbearing but attentive. Will definitely be returning.

Once our favorite restaurant, add in an ownership change and presto - mediocrity. Took our daughter here for her birthday. Confirmed 3 days prior that a cake would be made for her. Get seated in the back room. As you go in to the back room, it is the corner left table. The awning that they have placed around the room deflects some of the light on that table rendering half of the party (7) in the dark. Start off with the sampler appetizer of lobster turnover, honey mustard shrimp, crab cake and veal dumpling. All were quite good, the bacon wrap on the shrimp was unnecessary. Next up were the salads which had wilted lettuce. During the meal there was an adjacent table of around 16 people featuring a woman seated at the end who apparently had appointed herself the emcee. Continually shouting out comments and speaking at an unfathomably loud volume, her lack of self awareness was startling. After the salads, I pulled the waiter aside to inquire about the cake, he knows nothing about it but indicates "that it will be taken care of". He said something else but the constant droning of the other table drowned out any opportunity to have a conversation that lacked the words "I'm sorry, what did you say?" Main course makes its way out. Scallops, very good, but only 3. Berkshire pork chop - tasty but smallest pork chop I have ever seen, the pig must have been anorexic. Wife's Mediterranean Sea Bass was cold and flavorless (and of course tiny). Major disappointment all around. Time for dessert and surprise, no cake but the brownie they serve!!! Almost $500 and disappointment after disappointment spells only one thing - not going back.

This is a nice upscale corner cafe, with a dark, romantic atmosphere. The service is outstanding, with the servers being intimately familiar with the menu. All of the food was great. We enjoyed the lobster turnovers as an appetizer. The house salads, with homemade dressings were also light and delicious. My wife loved the scallops, and I thought the lobster and languistine stuffed filet was excellent. We will definitely make an effort to return when we're in town.
