I had an opportunity to taste some Serbian food in New York City while working there. Didn't know St. Louis had such a restaurant, but found it on-line and decided to try it out. No disappointment whatsoever. The food was excellent! We had the Cevapi, a "sausage" appetizer, which set the tone for what we were about to get--great seasoning, great flavor. For entree I had the Mixed Grbic plate, consisting of Babo's chicken, Cevapi, Pljeskavica, Chicken Shish Kabob, cutlet of veal served with vegetables. All was full of flavor and was truly enjoyable. My wife had the Valdostana, "layers of buttered spaetzles, thinly sliced grilled beef, topped with our creamy white wine mushroom sauce and mozzarella baked to a perfect golden brown". It was really good also. My brother-in-law had the Swiss Specialty, "a grand combination of veal sautéed with minced onions and a white wine mushroom sauce served with a perfect side of buttered spaetzles". Another winner of an entree. Add a nice bottle of dry white wine and you have a memorable evening at an awesome place. Don't miss this place! Truly a gem--with different food than you've had anywhere else in St. Louis--but oh so good!
