The food was great, I had the shrimp dish with rice! Another had the kobabs and rice and
another got that big crock with black beans and all sorts of meats! We started off with the
cheese appitizers on bread, it's blue cheese and parmisian and tomatoes.
Had a couple great drinks!! Spanish vodka, wow.
Couldn't resist the deserts either.
They have a cozy fireplace in one room, and outside patios & music when weather
permits.

Located at 2900 Missouri Ave, not far from the brewry

I have been a fan on this restaurant since its inception by owner Lemya a long time ago. If you go think that what is now the gathering space was once her entire restaurant. The food and drinks are divine and worth the trip. What makes this place special beyond the cuisine is the owner and her vision. She invested in her neighborhood, which was sorely in need of visionaries like her back in the day. It still needs visionaries, but Lemya is one of the early ones who put a bit of hope back in a tired neighborhood. She has done the decorating of the restaurant, which occupies a two story house. It has been a joy to watch the restaurant grow over the years.

The Caipirinha is a great way to start your evening out. It is a traditional Brazilian drink. But dont let its sweet temptation fool you, these can carry a punch if you embibe too many or too fast. But a wonderful pick me up.

In the winter months they serve a wonderful mixed seafood type of stew. It will warm your heart.

I have never had a bad meal, or even a mediocore meal here. All of the food is top notch. If you dont know what you want ask for recommendations. You will not be disappointed.

This visit I had Bobo de Camerao. It was a beautiful dish, almost too pretty to eat. It is rice with shrimp, veggies, and coconut cream sauce. Mmmm.

Oh I almost forgot... If you need appetizers, and who doesnt need appetizers, make sure to get an order of Torradinhas Leme. It is a brazilian take on garlic bread. But it is something to dream about.

The patio is a great addition. I dream of warm weather returning to St. Louis so I can spend a few eves out on the deck with my little green Caipriniha, some great friends, and food flavor and quality that I have not found anywhere else in St. Louis

Not a Brazilian steakhouse. The food and drinks are unique, at least for me. We all enjoyed our dishes. The empanadas were very good. The national dish was good if you are into red meat. The portobello entree was exceptional, but the shrimp in coconut sauce were very bland. The main thing I missed was spicy dishes and fewer coconut sauces.

Yemanja Brasil offers traditional Brazilian cuisine (not big meat on skewers). The atmosphere is laid back and they offer both meat, seafood, and veggie options. Some of the dinners are a little pricey but you do get a lot to eat.

This small restaurant serves traditional food from different areas of Brazil. The traditional caipirinha drink is well prepared and a refreshing option for warm days. The fried yuca is a delicious appetizer. Be sure to try the traditional feijoada dish.
