My impression was it is just another bar with a slight Irish twist. I got the McGurk's home ale and while it was good it was barely cold. Big negative for me. I got the Irish stew and it was a large serving and while very good there was very little lamb in it. The others in my party got the Guinness stew and they said it was good. The ladies were less adventuress and got hamburgers. They said they were handmade burgers and very good. For dessert I got the Whiskey bread pudding and it was pretty tasteless. The ladies got the chocolate cake and they said it was excellent. I would like to go back and sit on the patio, they say it is very nice out there.
