If you enjoy viewing the wild animals such as deer, Elk, wolves, coyote, etc this is a good park to see them without a lot of people being around. You can also schedule a night visit to hear the wolves and coyote howling into the night.

Drove through here with my niece and nephew. They were so psyched to see the buffalo and elk. The animals were right out the car window and it didnt take us too long at all to make the quick drive through.

We recently went to Lone Elk Park and had a great time once again. We saw six elk in the field where the park information and restrooms are. The bison were up the road and they were crossing the road so they were so close that we could reach out and touch them! There is a lake there as well.

Not worth the gas money. It is in an area called West County which I would not be caught dead in.
Go to the zoo where you can buy beer and wine!

Loved the park!!! I remember coming here as a kid and returning as eBay adult with my toddler was equally as impressive. Buffalo were relaxing right next to the road and made for a great south. The elk were all grouped about 100 yards off a back road, which made it difficult to see them, but exciting non the less. Be sure to give yourself time to check out the "world bird sancutuary" across the street from Lone Elk.
