From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by the "Can do" attitude of the staff. No matter what I asked for they were happy to help. Upbeat, smiling, positive, helpful. Example: I needed extra pillows & they were at my door within minutes. The price includes a wonderful breakfast buffet with much more than the usual bagels & cereal. Also local calls are free, and they even give you an hour of free long distance every night! As if that was not enough, free cocktails & snacks every evening, refrigerator (small) & microwave in the room. The room itself was much cleaner than I expected. I could not imagine a better value in the downtown St Louis area. I will be back!

A group of us "ladies" stayed at the Drury Plaza for three nights while in St Louis for the half marathon. It was one of the hotels recommended on the website and chosen over others based on tripadvisor reviews. We were extremely pleased. As noted the employees were cheerful and helpful, the complimentary breakfast great (although I do believe the scramble eggs were from a carton, only complaint) and the free happy hour an extra plus. Also the location is walking distance to the Arch and the new baseball stadium. All else is an easy drive. There is an indoor pool and hot tub too but we were too tired at night to indulge. All in all an excellent value.

I booked this hotel based on information I got from the Tripadvisor forums, and they were right on. The Drury Plaza Hotel located at 4th and Market was an excellent place to stay. The staff was courteous and helpful, the free breakfast was plentiful and freshly made, and the "happy hour" feature was quite a surprise - up to three drinks including beer, wine, and mixed drinks- each night of your stay. Also, if you eat at adjoining Max & Erma's, they allow you to bring your free drinks over from the hotel while eating at their restaurant! It was a perfect experience for me and my family staying in St. Louis for the first time.

Just loved this Hotel! The employees were happy, healthy and smiling the whole time we were there. The free breakfast was excellent and bigger than any other I've seen! The snacks in the evening were a nice bonus! The rooms were clean and modern. The pool water was a little cool, but that is my only complaint! This is a great place to stay!

We stayed at the Drury Plaza for a multi-generation (kids, parents, grandparents) St. Louis visit. This hotel is absolutely ideal for families or visitors. The short, easy walk to the Arch and friendly, accommodating staff are big pluses. Drury's policy of including all of the "extras" - internet service, breakfast, happy hour, coffee, popcorn and sodas - makes it especially stress-free and a good value.

For older or mobility-challenged travelers, this hotel is great. You won't find an easier or more accomodating place. Grandpa got to join the kids at the pool, and the ADA-compliant suites were very well-designed.

Only negatives: I'd like to teach the breakfast manager what a fresh fruit is, the housekeeping just wasn't up to par, and the service at Max & Erma's is painfully slow. The carpets in all of our rooms were worn and stained, and the furniture was a bit shabby. If you are a light sleeper, REQUEST AN OUTSIDE ROOM or you will be listening to the ding! ding! ding! of elevators all night long.

On the whole, though, everyone from kids to grandparents will be happy as clams here. Taxis appear magically, the staff can't do enough for you, and the bill will be a pleasant surprise.

What a great deal we got when we stayed here! The hotel is clean, has a friendly staff, and plenty of EXTRAS for your buck!

We paid under $100 a night for this hotel including parking, evening beverages, decent pool with friendly lifeguard, clean room, luxurious lobby, unsurpassed security, and a desk staff that recognized you on sight.

This is THE hotel to stay at if you are interested in visiting the arch. You won't get any closer.

The room was adequate and clean with 2 queen beds, marble bath, microwave with popcorn, fridge with soda, 1 hour of free long distance, comfortable recliner, and view of courthouse, plaza, and river.

We will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We visited St. Louis for a family fun weekend. We grew up near St. Louis, but hadn't frequented many hotels. The hotel is very beautiful with fountains and marble. The rooms are average size, but lots of storage and very clean. The beds are the MOST comfortable of any hotel we've stayed at. Our room had a whirlpool tub that was enjoyable. The pool was nice size and depth for children with a lifeguard on duty and two hot tubs. The breakfast was very good-pancakes, eggs, sausage, pastries, etc. As with all the Drury Inns we've stayed at-the sodas and popcorn in the room, and free cocktail hour are a treat. You can't beat the location near the arch and Busch Stadium, and a short walk to the Metro rail system to take you all across town for sightseeing. Also, check out the City Museum for fun for kids and adults!
