“Clean, updated, great location and pool!”
Reviewed November 13, 2009

We had such a wonderful time! Couldn't have been any better.
The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. Amazingly clean which
is so important to me. I am an avid swimmer and find it very difficult to find a decent pool anywhere. This pool was delightful...spotless, perfect temperature, on the 8th floor with lots
of light and windows, 2 jacuzzi's (also spotless) and the well
equiped fitness room was there as well which is great for a couple
so I could swim while he worked out and we still were together.
Location..amazing..the arch is across the street!! Went to the museum, plenty of nice places to eat in area and after a relaxing evening in a beautiful updated 1 bedroom suite woke up to find a
breakfast that was hot and well prepared. The breakfast staff was so cheerful..I am not a morning person and they actually put me in
a good mood. Would HIGHLY recommend and I can't wait to go
back!

I got a great deal for a weekend stay. The rooms and hotel are very clean. The staff is very friendly. The parking garage ($15/night) is very convenient. The location is very convenient to all downtown atractions. I would recommend requesting a room with a window to the outside (some are interior rooms). Rather than getting a room with a view of the arch, I would rather spend less for a regular room and use the savings to eat at Kemoll's which is on the 40th floor of Metropolitan Square and has an outstanding view of the Arch and really good food--although a bit high for Italian. The free breakfast at the Drury is also really good.

Stayed here for one night for the Cards-Dodgers game.

Check in was a breeze with a delightful front desk staff. The lobby was buzzing with people before/during/after the game. There is an afternoon reception with free drinks. OK the quality of the booze isn't great, but it's free. Some snacks as well.

Had a suite. Adequate. Dark. TVs were updated, but the rest of the furniture was old. There was no shower curtain in the tub/shower so water splashed everywhere. It looks like they tried to update the bathroom with granite, but with the rest of the room so dated, it just looked weird.

There is an indoor pool that was packed until closing. The gym is adequate. Mostly cardio equipement and a couple of weight machines only. No free weights.

The breakfast again was pandamonium, but the staff were very efficient and friendly and food was replaced quickly. Everything moved smoothly.

The location is smack dab in the middle of downtown St. Louis and literally one block away from the Arch.

Would stay here again.

The Drury Plaza at the Arch is a perfect location for sight seeing, and it's a nice area of town as well. There is a walking trail near the arch, and there are lots of restaurants within blocks. The hotel itself is in great condition and has a beautiful lobby area, and even serves continental breakfast!. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely would return again!

I tend to be wordy with reviews so I'll try to be precise.
Location-the best in the city. We had a corner room and it felt like we were able to touch the arch. You also can walk at night to a variety of restaurants.
Comfort-super comfortable, bed, linens(soft sheets) and towels, good heat
Staff-the kind that would lay their coat over a mud puddle for you-seriously.
Eats-excellent fluffy pancakes, non stop soft drinks all day, hot popcorn, great breakfast
Parking-tight but easily accessible
Cost per night-priceless.

I can sum up this hotel in one sentence. I paid a Holiday Inn price, and got the Ritz Carlton. Seriously, this place was a HUGE surprise. For what I paid, I figured I'd be getting something above average...but I wasn't expecting a gigantic beautiful lobby with a bar, a great view of the Arch on one side and a view of City Hall (beautiful building) on the other side, rooms that were perfectly clean, well furnished and upscale, and a staff that was extremely courteous and helpful. This may be the best value I've ever seen in a hotel, honestly. There;s no reason to go pay for the Hyatt or any of that if you're staying in downtown St. Louis. This hotel is absolutely the way to go.

My wife and two kids (7 and 5) loved this place. We stayed in a two bedroom queen bed suite. It was an interior room which meant that we had a window, but it was of the hallway and not of outside which was perfect. It was the quietest room we have stayed in.

The free hot breakfast was wonderful. No waiting for a server, they have everything from pancakes and eggs, to cereal and yogurt.

The afternoon snacks were good after a long day on the town. Popcorn and chips, but also carrots and dip with free drinks, wow!

Easy walk to the arch or the baseball park.

Also great security. You need a room card to get into the hotel from the parking lot or to get on the elevator.

Also good pool and towels.
