“THE best! You can't go wrong staying here!”

This is the best hotel to stay at if you want to be down town close to the river and arch. The lobby is just stunning! You wouldn't think it was so nice from outside, but this place is a real gem. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are spotless, and the kids had a great time at the indoor pool on the 8th floor. Our room had a view of the arch-which was spectacular at night. You can walk to the arch, the old courthouse, and the baseball field.
The free hot breakfast was great with a huge selection. The staff was real helpful. When we needed directions to Fitz's Soda Bar(go eat here if you love rootbeer floats), they even printed out the directions to take.
The price is great to for staying downtown. You could never get such a good value in downtown Chicago or New York. We also got the AAA discount.
The 2 cons are you have to pay $15 for parking---the parking garage is right next door though--- and they charge an occupancy tax on top of the room tax. So look to pay an extra $35 a night with taxes and parking on top of the regular room price.

I stayed at this hotel in November and loved it so much I came back in May. The hotel is beautiful and offers something for everyone.

The fact that they offer happy hour every day from 530-7 is something that will get people to enjoy the place. You can get 3 free drinks plus they offer snacks and it's nice to sit in the lobby and people watch, look out the windows, and talk.

There are two restaurants that are great - Carmines and Max & Erma's - or there are many places to walk to as well. The rooms are great and the bed is big and comfy. Bathroom is nice with separate area for toilet and shower. Suites are really nice and come with a living room and then a separate bedroom.

The breakfast buffet in the morning is great. Where else can you go and pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, muffins, and bagels included?!

Didn't use the pool at all but saw it and it looks nice. The lobby itself is nice enough just to sit in and socialize.

For the price this hotel gives back quite a bit. The location is great and close to everything. You can't go wrong staying here.

I took my office staff to St. Louis for a weekend of fun. We stayed at this hotel. We were very impressed with the staff, hotel, location, and cleaniness. We were able to walk to the stadium, and walk everywhere we wanted to go. I am planning on going in June to St. Louis with my family, and we are staying at this hotel again.

We stayed two weekend nights at this lovely hotel in the historic Fur Exchange building in downtown St. Louis. It was packed full of Cardinals' and Cubs' fans, and the customer service at the hotel was as smooth as butter.

It's got a gorgeous old lobby, and the hotel is located a couple of blocks from the baseball stadium, the Arch, and Laclede's Landing. A perfect location.

All the employees we encountered were especially nice and helpful. The extremely reasonable lodging rates include a complimentary manager's reception each evening with cocktails and snacks. Plus a full hot and cold breakfast buffet. All served in the very nice lobby.

Our double queen room had a view of the Arch, the riverfront, and the old cathedral. The bathroom is marble and granite, very nicely appointed, with the sink separated from the toilet and tub/shower.

Parking was just $12/night, at a garage across the street.

I highly recommend this hotel.

We went to St Louis for a wedding and had the pleasure of staying at the Drury Plaza Hotel. I've never stayed at this brand of hotel before, but will most definitely search for it on all future travels. Free drinks and snacks during "social" hour in a bright, welcoming lobby. Great hot breakfast. Incredibly friendly staff. 6 pillows in quiet, dark, spacious rooms.

We stayed at this awesome hotel during the St. patrick's Day weekend- 2 adult and a 13 and 4 year old. The hotel and staff were SUPER! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was great. When making requests the staff response was immediate and courteous. We felt so welcome that we did not want to leave.
The lines for breakfast and the afternnon snacks could get very long but the staff was always friendly and they often stayed longer just to provide extra food and drinks for late arriving guests. I love the freebies- food, phone, drinks, and a late checkout.
The kids loved the lobby and the fountains- photo opportunities. Hubby loved the hot tub and they had an excellent workout room and pool area. There were no downsides to this hotel and we will use them anytime we plan on staying in downtown St. Louis.

  • Liked — Friendly staff and lots of freebies!
  • Disliked — Nothing- it is a great place.

We just got back from a 4-night, 5-day stay at this hotel and loved every minute of it. The staff was phenomenal and friendly... I have never been someplace where every single person you met was nice and helpful. And not in a cheesy, over-the-top way... they were genuinely trying their best to make our stay a good one.

We found this hotel very convenient to every place we wanted to go... near highways to get to outlying stuff, and within walking distance of the Arch, a handful of restaurants and a St. Louis Bread Company. We asked for a view of the Arch and got one. Our room was clean but nothing fancy... but for $140 a night, we didn't expect fancy. We were visiting with two kids (ages 6 and 2) and it was perfect for our needs.

The parking garage is tight and we thought a $15 fee DAILY was a little much, but we had no trouble finding a spot for our mid-size SUV every day and were thankful to have a protected place to park it in this very urban downtown. The free breakfast was a hit with our kids and fine enough. Ditto the nightly free cocktail hour. We also enjoyed the good-sized heated indoor pool and hot tub.

This is the perfect place for families with small children. They even provided a crib for us when we asked for it. Will DEFINITELY stay here again.
