“Wonderful weather, nice ride”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Blue sunny skies, great temperature for the time of the year. There are two boats, the Tom Sawyer and the Becky Thatcher. We rode on the Tom Sawyer. There are three levels. The top level affords the best view, however I highly recommend once the boat turns around at the halfway point go down to the bottom level and stand at the front of the boat...watch the water spray along the sides...very refreshing! It was the only tourist attraction that I was willing to purchase the photos they take of you on your way in. Length is about an hour.

“Save Your Time and Money.”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

Long wait. Seating is horrible. Has cheaply made chairs sitting on deck. Hour tour is mostly waiting on boat to load and unload. During the tour, could be very interesting, but speaker system is very hard to hear and understand. When unloading off boat, staff very rude and wants to rush all the passengers.

Save your money. You can see everything from the bank. Best advise is to stay away from area. St. Louis needs to clean the crime up in their tourist areas. Very unsafe.

“A tad dull...”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

We took the riverboat cruise after our trip up the arch and it was rather disappointing. True, it afforded some more great views of said structure but there was not a lot else of interest. The bridges were OK but there's only so much that can keep being said about barges full of oil! I guess living near London and having been on numerous amazing Thames cruises we've been spoilt. Having said all that It's quite cool to say we've travelled on the mighty Mississppi for an hour.

“Best way to get the "money shot" of the arch”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

We took the riverboat cruise today, and enjoyed it and the cool breeze! We had been unable to capture a good photograph of the arch, and this got us out far enough to shoot the entire thing in late afternoon light.

The boat was decently maintained, certainly not luxurious, but not dumpy. The information shared about travel in the Mississippi River was quite interesting. Overall, we weren't thrilled, but we weren't bored either. It was a pleasant afternoon outing. The one thing we really get tired of, which we once again encountered and now seems to be mandatory with every attraction, is the ridiculous forced photos in an attempt to rake you over the coals for even more of your vacation dollars. Wish they'd ban these photo booths everywhere.
