Went on a Monday nite. Place was dead and the food was so so. Looks like a fun spot on the right nite. Not Monday though.

Came here on a recommendation from a buddy of mine. Duck confit empanada was boring. Duck didn't have much flavor, but the peaches were good. The short rib ravioli itself was good, but it was sitting in a broth that was incredibly salty. If you suffer from high blood pressure or are on a low sodium diet, do not get this dish. Bouillabaisse was nice.

Second visit just as good as first. A bit noisy but that is part of the fun meal. We ordered bottle of white from Spain and the fish of the day as well as the scallops.

My wife and I went to Nico to celebrate her birthday and had a great meal. We had a reasonably priced bottle of Riesling that was very good. I had the Lamb Burger, which was great and my wife enjoyed her Moroccan Chicken Bastilla.

They really needed a better restaurant on Del Mar in the Loop ,St.Louis (technically University City) Nico just opened and is a cut above the burger joints and Thai places on this busy street. You can order a decent bottle of wine, quiet atmosphere and have a better meal. Good fish too. Very close to Washington University. Families and couples welcome.
