“Peabody Opera House is Lovely”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Just loved the recently renovated Opera House. Beautifully done. We saw a great performance of Chorus Line. Seats were comfortable and great view of the stage from almost anywhere in theater. So glad to see St. Louis renovated this old theater because it has such character.

“Nice venue”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

I agree with all the reviews here. My suggestion is that you might consider staying at the Sheraton cause it would be a short walk. Parking was $10 for Emmylou. Only bathrooms on the main floor level.

“The Peabody's Upgrade needs an upgrade”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

We recently attended a concert there and was impressed by how the redecorated this historical place. And it's great to have another venue to hear music or see plays and productions.
The things that could improve is the accessibility. Parking is a bit of a problem and it seems that you walk a great deal from where you park to get into the entrance. We were turned down in the side entrance in spite of it pouring down rain. It'd been great if the attendant had made a judgement call and let us in. Then when we get to check in, the scanner didn't work and we waited a long time for that to happen. The ushers offered little help to get us to our seat. We finally found the right person. And we felt cramped there.
So while it's charming that the Peabody Opera house has been upgraded, the logistics of the place could greatly improve.

“beautiful opera house inside and out”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

I attended the Rockettes Christmas Show, with VIP food and drinks. The VIP food room was fancy, beautiful high ceilings, fancy furniture, and the food was not so bad. We had a back staircase to enter the opera stage. The opera house was awesome inside! The ceiling inside is domed for accoustics and the seating was great. The sound was literally all aroubd you. Not a bad seat in the house.
