This is my 3rd trip to the Lemp Mansion and as always a must see when I am in the area. Stayed in the Charles Lemp Suite this time and was slightly creepy. The story here is such an interesting one on how wealth does not always bring happiness.

“Fun, slightly creepy tour”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

My husband and I went on one of the Monday night tours. Our guide had been connected with the Lemp Mansion for a number of years and was very knowledgeable. She started with some history regarding the house and some information about the paranormal. Once it was a little darker, we started the tour itself, which included the whole first floor and most of the second and third floors. (We could only go in the rooms that were rented out with the Bed and Breakfast if the people staying were participating in the tour of course.) The "haunted" aspect of the tour was creepy but fun. My husband and I are not really "believers" when it comes to ghosts or spirits or whatever, but we both saw/experienced things that at least made us wonder. We thought the tour was intriguing and worthwhile, though the dim lighting meant to enhance the paranormal part of the tour made it hard to see the details of the house as well as we would have liked and didn't really add to the history part of the tour. And since it is now primarily a B&B and restaurant, it's not really furnished in a way that gives a sense of it's former grandeur.

This was a fun tour. The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the mansion and made the tour fun. We actually went on a ghost investigation using their infrared night vision cameras. I actually caugh something. I highly recommend the thursday night tour group.
