I went for three days to St Louis. I booked at the Omni and I greatly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St Louis. The Front Desk Manager, Julie, was amazing! She made our stay memorable. Thank you staff at the Omni Majestic :) from valet to the general manager, everyone is wonderful. It is a plus that the location is in a prime downtown location.

Hopefully, this historic hotel can rebound from a nice refurbishing one day. For now, as a business hotel with many of the amenities of other Omnis, it is not a bad property. The most obvious area in need of improvement is with the breakfast service. The buffet is just sad: meager selections of bread and cereals and woefully unattentative waitstaff and bussing service. Front desk staff, while genial, is stretched thin. There is literally one "front desk" in the lobby which checks in guests and handles concierge services. The room was comfy, if judt starting to show subtle signs of wear. Hopefully a nice facelift can add some excitement to this hotel.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We will see what we can do to put more variety in our buffet selection. At the very least we will make sure that our wait staff is more attentive to our guests in the restaurant. We hope you'll consider staying with us next time you're in town.

Was very happy with our stay here over the weekend. Rooms were nice..very spacious and clean. The service was top notch.. everyone from the front desk clerk to the bartender to housekeeping were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make the stay a good one. The complimentary shuttle will take you anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel..a great perk! The hotel is located in a good central location of downtown. My only complaint was the breakfast buffet...not worth the money at all. For what they offer it should be complimentary.

Stayed here home opening weekend and fell in love with the small homey feeling of the hotel and most of all the staff! They were a great addition to our baseball weekend. Our crowd stays in the city for ball games all summer and the. Omni will be my first choice

The Omni Majestic is a great example of getting what you paid for. The room was a great value for a downtown location with nice access to major venues. The room was spacious and clean, although the furniture looked a little long in the tooth and a flat-panel television would go a long way towards giving a more updated feel. The bed was comfy (although not the four-poster advertised on the website) and our room was quiet - a quality I highly value.

One complaint we had was over the parking situation. This hotel sits in a virtual sea of unused parking spaces (on a weekend) yet they insist on charge $25 a night to valet or even to self park in one of the adjoining lots (which charge $8 a day for public parking.) C'mon - this isn't downtown Chicago where parking is limited and hard to find. $25 to park for a $129 hotel room is just excessive. We found a meter around the corner and parked for free after 7:00.

We stayed here for a "date night" getaway and were looking forward to a leisurely morning with room service breakfast in bed. What I read on the website when I booked implied that there was in-room dining, and even the guest book that was in the room stated that in-room dining was available from 6:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m, so we were quite disappointed to learn that there was, indeed, no in-room dining available. A hotel with the Omni name and reputation should have room service. There was a buffet available in the hotel's restaurant, but it wasn't much more than is offered for free at many travel hotels, so at $9 each we passed, checked out, and found a breakfast restaurant.

Also, the television/cable offerings were pretty sparce. I don't expect premium channels, but some HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, etc. would have been nice.

Overall, this is a fine place to stay if you just need an inexpensive, comfy room in a nice downtown location, but there's not much to recommend it as a destination in itself.

Room Tip: We requested a room on an upper floor, away from the elevators. It was very quiet.

Unfortunately we have very limited parking in our front drive and we pay a monthly fee for use of the nearby lots which is not the same as their public day rate. Our valet is priced competitively with other hotels in the area, but there are self park options in the area that we welcome our guests to use. We're sorry we aren't able to offer room service past 11 p.m., but there are plenty of nearby restaurants open for delivery that we're happy to recommend past 11 p.m.

We stayed at the Omni for business. It was our first trip to St. Louis. The Omni is downtown St. Louis, within walking distance of all of the venues for the Cardinals, Rams, arch, convention center. I would give it a 3.5 stars. Has potential to be a 4-5 star hotel.

The Good:

1. Service. Really good customer service, always willing to help and respectful. We are really big on customer service, so having great customer service says a lot about a company.
2. Location. Downtown, within walking distance to venues, the arch, restaurants, etc.
3. Style. It is an old, historic hotel. Nice wood features, even with the quirks of being older.
4. Shuttle. There is a free shuttle for trips/stops around St. Louis downtown area. Handy to have. They do not provide a ride to the airport.
5. Breakfast buffet. Large selection, tasted good.
6. Room. Large and spacious, pretty quiet. Comfy bed, could make a fort with the amount of pillows on the bed.
7. An elevator that "dings" at every floor with a bell. Real old school, kinda neat

The bad:

1. Maintenance. As an older hotel, I expect the quirks from being an older hotel such as the water pressure, appointments that are historic, etc. The rooms were appointed nicely, but need to be kept up on. The grout in the bathroom was in need of repair. Caulking in the bathroom was in need of repair. The toilet ran the entire stay, clicking on to refill every 7-10 minutes or so. There was paint and wall paper peeling in the room and lobby. The A/C unit was old and loud, but worked.
2. Cleanliness. Hairs all over in the bathroom. On the floor, in the tub, on the walls and even lots on the ceiling. Not big on other persons hairs, yuck. Housekeeping cleaned the room, but it could definitely use a deep clean to get rid of dirt, lint, etc. along the corners, behind fixtures, etc. The whole room and bathroom needed a good cleaning.
3. Coffee maker hidden in television cabinet. Found it the day we were leaving. There is free coffee in the restaurant, so that was ok.
4. Television. Old flat screen CRT with limited channels and reception. Need to upgrade for sure.
5. Premium price. At $189 + tax/fees per night, I would expect 4-5 stars, even on peak weekend.

Overall, the hotel could be a 4-5 star, but needs fundamental cleaning and maintenance changes. Would stay again, but not at $189/night.

Room Tip: Ice is on the 3rd and 7th floors, in a separate room.

We stayed here when we traveled to St. Louis to watch the Cards - Cubs opening weekend series. The hotel is very easy walking distance to Busch Stadium although there is also a complimentary shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was very spacious, quiet and clean but it was obvious that this is an older property. Would definitely stay here again.
