“We stay here at least 3 or 4 times a year!”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

The helpful employees at this hotel make it great! Judy at check in that helped my friend get a lower room, since he doesn't like heights, to Shantanica at the front desk that helps me every year with what ever I need.
Their breakfast at the restaurant or room service is excellent! We have also had
lunch here, before we left to go out on the city and it is really good also.
There is Daryl that is getting ready to retire, but we love him! He is your car parking person!
And I am sorry there is another gentleman there that usually gets our car every time on a Sunday, and he is a great guy also.
you know what, if it isn't excellent they will do what it takes to make it right! Rooms Very clean and roomy! Room views are awesome not matter what side you are on!
The location of this hotel Rocks! close to the 11 time world series winners, the St Louis Cardinals! and close to the arch, and a nice walk to Lacledes landing!

This was my first visit to St. Louis, and I chose the Crowne Plaza Downtown because of it's proximity to the event I was attending.
I was very impressed with this hotel! It is situated within walking distance of the St. Louis Arch, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Park, Citygarden Sculpture Park, and many other historical, sporting and cultural points of interest.
Our room offered spectacular views of the Arch and the ballpark of the St. Louis Cardinals. It was a real treat to be able to see the ballpark in action during their home game from our balcony. The bedding and rooms were clean and comfortable.
The Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had drinks in the bar both evenings, while watching the hockey playoffs. It was the perfect place to wind down after a busy day. The bar staff and drinks were excellent.
Both check in and check out, requests and questions were handled very efficiently by the friendly front desk staff.
The Valet service was prompt and courteous with every instance. They helped get us pointed in the right direction and gave us helpful insight on construction and downtown traffic.
I will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone who is planning on visiting the Downtown St. Louis area in the future.
I look forward to my next visit.

I recently stayed here while I was in town for a conference. My room was spacious and had an excellent view of the Arch and was convenient to restaurants and other downtown locations. All of the hotel staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly.

We went in March 2012 (only let me go back to June 2012). We were there for the Basketball Tournament and the hotel was great. Very spacious. We had a one bedroom suite, which was wonderful, however, if you are traveling with a baby and need a crib, be prepared that they are the old port-a-crib style. This did not fit in the bedroom very well, but the employees were able to pick it up and place it in the corner of the room. We loved the view and it was within walking distance to the Arch and plenty of restaurants.

At first glance it looked fine, but we were enjoying the view of the Arch. This hotel should go through a make-over before it goes downhill anymore. The location is the good part! We did not eat in our hotel so I can't comment on that part. Oh, we noticed some silverware & "leftover" things in the hall. Literally there all day.

I stayed here for two nights with friends. We had one 2-bed room and 1 King Suite room. The 2-bed room was large and had 2 QUEEN beds. I like to emphasize QUEEN, because a lot of hotels only have 2 double beds. It had 1 regular bathroom. The view directly out of our window was of a hotel across the street. If we looked down, we could see the street. And, if we looked East, we could see the Arch. It was not a bad view. And, as I said, the room was large. It made it feel a lot less cramped than the typical hotel room by having some open space in there. The room also had a small refrigerator. The room was clean and had all the towels and sheets that we needed.

As for the King suite, It had a bedroom with a king bed, and, in a living space, a couch with a pullout bed (probably a double bed size). This room overall was probably the same size as the 2-bed room, but it had a wall separating the bedroom from the living area. It actually felt smaller to us. However, it did have a balcony which was nice. It also had a great view of the Arch and the river. The room did NOT have a refrigerator. Also, it did not have a full bathtub. It was kind of a half tub with shower in it. That was the only bathroom in the room. We all felt that the 2-bed room was the better value unless you prefer/require more privacy. The suite was clean, but they did not have any extra sheets or pillows for someone to sleep on the couch bed. We had to call the front desk and have them brought up at around 3 AM. It was over an hour wait for them. Then, the next morning, it was realized that there were not enough towels for 3 people either. So, they had to call for those. It was about 30 minutes wait for them, which isn't so bad for the morning I guess.

The front desk service was friendly. There is a parking garage right at the hotel basically. There is a rooftop pool, but it was not opened for the year yet while we were there. The location of the hotel by the arch and the river was nice. It is in downtown, so as long as you don't mind walking a bit (either to a place, or to a metro stop), it's in walking distance to everything basically. Also, they do have free wireless access in the hotel for guests. There is also a bar and a restaurant (separate from each other) in the hotel. We did not use either, so cannot comment on them.

I'd definitely stay here again, as long as the price is competitive with other decent hotels in the area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the East (especially) and South sides will have the best Arch/river views.
