Recommended by our docent at the cathedral, we loved this neighborhood and its choices of cafés and restaurants. Taste and its next-door-neighbor brasserie both have indoor and outside seating - we opted to be inside as it was a very warm evening. As we walked in, a server walked by with a plank/platter holding three slices of earthy-looking bread piled high with fresh roasted corn, tomatoes, a corn ricotta mixture and cherry tomatoes. There may have been other ingredients but I had to have it...and it was delicious! My husband opted for the bowl of fresh pasta (al dente, almost like spaetzle) with scallops and mussels, like a cioppino. We ordered a glass of white and red on the advice of our server and each complemented one of the dishes. A perfect light supper.
